The jumping and drifting in the game is the best feeling out of all the games
ОтветитьI remember glitching through coconut mall and being able to explore parts of the map that are blocked off. Honestly one of my favorite MKWii memories to this day

Me without hearing any explanation: I agree
Proud of myself for having a star rating on every grand prix in this game
ОтветитьI just want a new pokemon pinball game
ОтветитьI got litteral chills at the unlock sound. I did not expect that.
ОтветитьI still have my Wii and original copy of Mario Kart to this day, and it continuously pulls a lot of cries of joy and screams of panic from my friends and I whenever we race each other on split screen. The characters and tracks never get boring, and we're always finding new challenges to do just because we think they're funny - the most recent being all of us using Cheep Charger. I'm forever thankful that I grew up on both this and Mario Kart DS, which I absolutely adore due to their difficult yet fair CPU coding. I didn't know it at the time when we got our Nintendo Wii for Christmas, but my dad informed me that they were selling so fast that the one he purchased was hidden in the back of a GameStop, likely stashed by one of the employees for themselves and given to my father by their oblivious coworker. Funny to think that some dumb luck brought me one of my favorite games and consoles of all time.
ОтветитьWait so what exactly is GENIUS about MKWii?? Expected the video to dive deep into the item system or mechanics, instead of just being a surface-level run through the game's content. Smh I feel ripped off

ОтветитьBack then, I sometimes used to just abandon the race and drive around looking for narrow and harder paths on a map. Driving back and forth against the current, finding short cuts I didn't know existed. I loved to drive ontop of tall bridges, trying to be very careful with the joystick, even though it wasn't necessary. Only because it looked cool.. and that I just found big value in silly things like that.
That was one of these things I didn't realize how much I would miss so much later on in the franchise.
Bruh, it took me so many years playing Deluxe to realize that auto-steering could be turned off (It wasn't by default on the Wii?), but I was so glad it could! Because it made the whole driving experience and courses feel less restricted and simple. Although, the maps still feel more like roads with invincible fences than full-on environments.

ОтветитьIt's purely because the Wii is just the best console ever made
Ответитьi have a friend who's like next level of living under a rock and when i found out she'd never played a video game on a console before my immediate reaction was "wait does that mean you've never played mario kart????" and then i invited her over to play mario kart with me. i have mario kart 8 on the switch but i had her play wii because it's better. needless to say she had a great time

ОтветитьAs a 99‘ kid, I grew up with Mario Kart DS, but MK Wii was my favorite game of them all. From the multiplayer mode to the ultra shortcuts, it was just so much fun.

ОтветитьThe worst part about this video is that you go monotone when ever you are acknowledging the nostaliga that many share with the series. That should be exciting, not monotone. I am just trying to help you grasp your audience more and it will make your videos more exciting if you think of the inflections and deflections in the specific moments in your script that go into detail. think of it like music, more detail equals more texture. Whether that texture is any color of the rain bow or black or white, that texture has context and there should be a road map of making your audience feel non burdened by bad memories sort of say. its hard to explain but simply, when you go monotone when things should be exciting, it gives off a weird uneasy vibe and nostalgia is not that, Nostalgia is more in depth in so it has more texture in so your voice should sound more exciting when you get to that part rather than sad. at the end of the day its all about your perspective, whether your cup is empty, full, somewhere in the middle or over flowing. You just gotta learn which goes where you are doing good dont give up!
Ответитьmoonview highway is like my favorite level in video game history. cant explain why it just ticks all the boxes for me
Ответитьbro forgot about the other amazing battle track. it’s delphine pier i think, could be wrong. but water rises and lowers throughout the game. and if you get too low in the water you die and lose your coins or balloons.
ОтветитьOne thing that I didn’t like about battle mode was how much empty space that some of the courses had, like I liked the concept of each track, but there just felt like there was too much space between stunts/boxes.
ОтветитьMk Wii was truly special. Mk 8 and 8 deluxe almost feel like a different franchise but Mk Wii felt like a natural progression from double dash
ОтветитьBoehm Squares
ОтветитьA lot of people aren't going to understand when I say MKW is more fun to play than MK8 to me. MKW is my favorite and MK Tour is close but it just needs to be on console instead of an app. Its the only one I got a 3 star rank on. I learned how to do the Grumble Volcano, BC3, and RR shortcuts but not Warios Goldmine or Mushroom Gorge.
Its subjective but I prefer the music and the battle mode where friendly fire is turned off. Also why did they remove luma from Rosalina? Its little things like that that makes me dislike MK8... Ok, I've ranted enough now.
Off topic but I love how this guys voice gets randomly flirtatious throughout the vid
ОтветитьI think mk7 and mk8 (both versions) are good games. but they had the perfect gameplay figured out in mkwii and scrapped it for the sequel for some reason! very nice of you to put a billion tracks and even funky kong in mk8 deluxe. but as long as you don't have inside drifting, wheelies and different buttons for tricking and drifting (seriously why did they put 2 fundamentally different game mechanics on the same button?!), mkwii will always be superior
ОтветитьMkWII holds a complete advantage for me due to inside drift and wheely (...and the combo). Why I didn't know till now that you can avoid the power block, am I stupid?
ОтветитьI swear those last 40 seconds gave me so much goosebumps with the music and the cutscenes 🥹
Ответитьmy family was always too broke to get new games and consoles so we bought a second hand WII and a few second hand games. I have 3 siblings so being able to play with ALL of us was the best. I have so many fond memories of playing with my siblings and Mario cart was a big part of that.
ОтветитьI think mkwii is the best since its the perfect middleground of features- when I play mk8, I get overwhelmed with everything going on, and it feels like its too much. Mkwii had the perfect amount of items, the tracks were exciting and not too crazy, and it just felt the best!

ОтветитьI had a lil book of video game cheat codes for the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 which told you how to unlock all characters and karts in Mario kart Wii. So many fond memories of me and my brother GRINDING the game to unlock all characters and karts. Even my Dad would play with us (he only liked moo moo Meadows)

ОтветитьYo how does your mario kart wii footage look so good??
ОтветитьI pity those who prefer mk 8 mk wii will always reign supreme.
ОтветитьCool video, I enjoyed
ОтветитьBack to Dinosaur island for me
ОтветитьThis game has my absolute favorite driving physics in this series. Simply driving around feels just right, even on the easier tracks. Whenever I play 8DX the driving just isn't as satisfying.
