Why not people who code? Is this not quite divisive?

There is no pay gap, man or woman you get paid what you agree to. If a job is advertised with a salary then provided you meet the requirements and are the best candidate then thats what you will get paid. If women accept lower pay then they are their own worst enemies. I absolutely hate it when women play the pay gap victim card, when they have the same opportunities as anyone. The tech wotld is male dominated because of natural interest. The caring professionals are dominated by women because of natural interests. It's men who do the most dangerous jobs, most bricklayers are men, most construction site labourers are men, do you want to balance all industries out by gender? When you apply for a tech job the fact you might be the only woman applying has nothing to do with pay gap or discrimination, it's because more men gravitate to these professions just like more women gravitate to the care sector. This is such a toxic and harmful (to you as much as anyone else) worldview to adopt. I love tech and the minute I clicked on your video I felt totally excluded simply because I am male. If you had just spoke about coding and dropped all the identity politics I have no doubt that I as a man would have warmed to your coding expertise but instead I am met with a wall of toxic discriminatory victimhood.

Btw, your statistics show absolutely nothing. They do not account for the fact that mens average wage will be higher just by virtue of the fact there are a greater number of men. This means a greater proportion of men have been promoted to a higher salary after long loyal dedicated service. If you draw the same stats from female dominated professions the results would work out in favour of women simply because there are more women than men.

There is certainly a Mother pay gap due to taking time off to raise children, not so much a gender pay gap. One of the ways this can be eliminated is for the government to give mandatory paternity leave for father's like in Sweden.

Could you please expand on "consequences of no agreement/Alternatives", and give examples?

Good tips. But your premise is wrong. My female cousins and I do the same work. They make more than I do. There is no such thing as a pay gap.

It's because men work longer. Also women take baby time off.

There is always a bias within companies and most people who do not agree with a pay-gap probably have not worked in too many places because they found a niche to stick to for a while. After enough moving around from job to job and it is far more noticeable. It can tilt either way depending upon those in higher-level positions already. As there is always a hierarchy there is usually this type of bias to follow. To compound these issues, the lower-level employees (no matter the skill) eventually engage in like manner. Of further humiliation, a company often will present to the public and shareholders that they hire and advance from within, but then will recruit from outside not due to previous or current skillset and experience, but because of a degree. Much of the time, it does not matter what the degree is for but simply that it is a university or college degree and management will have the gall to ask someone lower to provide training. You are right but limiting to women instead of the underlying issues. I do agree that it is generally more against women---just not always.
