ОтветитьAgree. I’m in both worlds. Started p&c in 2016 & got into life this year. Life is built on recruiting so much. It’s a little draining because so many ppl quit, but p&c is a more stable career.

ОтветитьI am Life agent that will be joining a large P&C agency. I asked them if I could learn the P&C side while I sell Life products to their clients. They really need to add that service to their agency. Also I was a business banker for 20 years and will be working with banks that I previously worked at to joint call with their commercial clients.
I am nervous because I will be running the new life dept but think it will be sustainable once I get my p&c license. Thanks for the video!
Some of the information you stated is incorrect. Life and Health is broken up into 3 categories. Life, Medicare, and ACA. Medicare is renewable product every year. ACA is renewable every year too. Alot agents only sell medicare and have a long term book of business, the same with ACA under that license. You're almost suggesting that life and health agents only sell life insurance. Medicare is a well respected and highly regulated product with rules and regulations set by the government. Also with life insurance there's two sides to that story. You mentioned life insurance doesn't have commissions after year one that's untrue. I don't sell much life insurance anymore. I'm focused on Medicare and ACA but this video is super misleading I'm sorry and I'm not being a hater. This video should be broken down by someone who licensed in both industries with a few years under they're belt

ОтветитьI have to disagree. Life insurance sells a product that absolutely helps someone. During the hardest times. P and C is a product you legally or contractually have to have in most cases. When clients actually use the insurance for their home or auto, they pay a hefty price come renewal. A life claim pays out, and doesn’t effect the beneficiaries ability to obtain coverage going forward. P and C can help people, but it’s not a life changing benefit.
ОтветитьThat said, life certainly is structured like a pyramid. It’s the product I don’t love selling. A life policy is different. I know for certain that the product will be immensely valuable to the beneficiaries when a claim is filed

ОтветитьI've been a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley and now my own an RIA. Your description of FAs isn't accurate at all. I think you might be talking about Insurance agents who get a Series 6 and sell Variable Policies and act like they are Advisors?

ОтветитьP&C is dialing leads and servicing customers. Life insurance is a get rich quick scheme where 90 percent quit the first year. Let’s not kid ourselves, it’s more like 100% turnover rate per managers I know. Their full-time job is recruiting dialers. I know dozens of former Life insurance agents. 🙄
ОтветитьThe most obvious difference is there are more scams and mlms in the life insurance industry. I got my life insurance certification and I noticed how difficult it is to find work within a legitimate company. I'm going for health and property and casualty insurance. There aren't as many mlms in property and casualty and even health insurance.

Found about selling life insurance thru a "travel and sell life insurance" video. So do you think someone can live in south america 8 months a year doing P&C telesales?
