long time subscriber and I’m always stoked to see your videos come up. Owned a 2008 black fg2 stock, then a 2008 fa5 sold it and got a mint condition rally red fg2 fbo e tune been running it since 200k km just rolled over on 280k km today. Will never sell that car! I drove across Canada 9000km and no issues whatsoever, also put 60k km on in in less than a year and I’ve been storing it every winter! Coming on almost two years since I’ve owned that car!

My civic has been sitting without a motor and transmission for 4 years I finally bought a motor and trans for it getting my car back after so long I miss it and I also never gave up on it

8th gen and up are sooo ugly, I still got stuck on 7th gen. Have 3 Civics 2002 and Acura EL 2002. I strongly believe that a true Honda quality had stopped in 2005. Just look at the paint jobs of 2006 and up ... joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gerb, you're right. These engines are so reliable! I have had my 06 Si coupe for 11 years. I'm the 4th owner. I love it to death, and I just won't part with it.. We have 4 vehicles lol. My car has 165K miles.. I keep it in the garage and mainly drive it on nice days and no rain (has a bit of a leak from the sun roof molding and will dampen the carpet on the driver side). No need to get rid of it, I insure it with liability only with a 1k deductible. The clear coat is JUST NOW starting to peel on the roof and spoiler. I drive it all summer long, and I enjoy wrenching on it in its "off season".

I own a FB6, and now recently aquired a FA5 as well... both are amazing cars and i will Not let either one of them go ever 😊

I still have my 8th gen for 12 years now. Just did a major maintenance and cars just new.

When turbo on the 8th gen. Transmission is bar far the weakest point. Love my 8th gen. Motor should be back from machine shop in week or 2 trans is fully built and I have a whole lotta goodies.

The 8th gen is such a timeless piece of honda engineering. I've had mine for 11 years and cant imagine ever needing to get rid of it!

Unpopular opinion but factual: 8th gen civics are more fun to drive than s2000’s

It is actually a race engine, with Honda road going reliability, torsen LSD, very racy suspension, decent brakes. It is crazy how this cars were accessible. FA5 guy from Brazil here. Thanks for your videos, it helped more than a few times along those years.

I worked 2 jobs for an entire summer my sophomore year in high school just so I could buy a used fa5. It was about $6000, 157k and silver. Loved that car to death. Have a 9thgen si now but damn do I miss my 8th.

i loved my 08 civic. best gen for style until 10th gen in '16. Didn't like 9th gen much. nor the 11th gen. That's why I got a '24 Prius , it looks like a better 08 Civic
