I appreciate your steady hand when filming and slow careful movements as well as your attention to architectural detail. ❤
ОтветитьAll the lightbulbs are intact. Amazing!
ОтветитьLove both of the houses. The view from the general store was so beautiful. My parents were born and raised in WV . My father and my daughter are going to WV this week actually. It's an incredibly beautiful state.
ОтветитьI didn’t see a bathroom or kitchen in the General Store living quarters.
ОтветитьDo you think those upstairs rooms at some point could've been rented out ? (Referring to the first general store house).
ОтветитьNeat video! That noose was a little unsettling.
Ответитьgreat explores Kappy, that second house must have been beautiful back in its day
ОтветитьI love the old brick house. From looks of the roof and the interior wall repaired with cinderblock I wonder if someone was trying to restore it. It reminds me of houses in the eastern panhandle. This was a fun explore Kappy, thank you !
ОтветитьThe 2nd house was amazing. The mold on the walls made it look like they were marble. Don't know why they would remove the fireplace mantles they add beautiful touches to the house. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and safe travels
Ответитьbaby chicks
Ответить✌️
ОтветитьThe "fireplace" has not been removed. The mantle has been removed. Clearly the fireplace is still there...
ОтветитьThe second house, I used to go past that everyday on the bus, until they rerouted the road. I can't recall if I remember anyone living there. Always thought it was beautiful!
ОтветитьIS THAT 1800S BRICK HOME FOR SALE ...
ОтветитьIf there isn't a basement ,maybe try looking in the backyard for a cellar ? Some people dug cellars and coal sheds out back
ОтветитьThat owl statue scared me. Creepy 😵💫 LOL
ОтветитьNice explore. I really do enjoy watching your explores. Your admiration for the details in these places really bring to the value of your videos.
ОтветитьThat first old house really creeped me out. Looks like some squatters were there at one time possibly. Second house beautiful carved wood staircase.
ОтветитьNeeto
ОтветитьNiiiice!!!! You find the best historic homes-and tell us when they were built.
Ответитьa little dinosaur ❤
Ответитьwow 6. it is deceiving
ОтветитьThanks for sharing <3
ОтветитьNo kitchen or bathroom above that general store? Maybe i missed it...
ОтветитьLove your channel! I commented before stating that l just found your channel recently and just love it. But l wanted to say how much l love the fact that you are so respectful of the properties you explore. I think you are a young man with an old soul. You really seem to love and care about the homes you visit. I love your excitement of old fireplaces, wood trim, old well crafted furniture and stair cases. I watch some other explorers who go into places and touch everything and rummage thru things that they shouldn't and l don't doubt that they take some things when the camera is off. I don't get that felling from you. Keep up the good work, it is truly a joy watching your videos.😊💞
ОтветитьWith shortages of homes - are these old decrepit homes too expensive to purchase? I think owning one would be awesome - and just take time to do it as a person could pay for renovations - or the product to do it themselves. IF I had the money - this would be awesome. Sell plants out of the bottom, live in the top. Yup. Probably all these houses looked so nice when families lived in them. Too much "throw away" anymore. Someone probably stole the bricks and any nice woodwork around fireplace. Kind of sad.
Ответитьi like both buildings, all the wood and doors and windows,I could see saving both.Thamk you once again 👍❤️
ОтветитьWhere in WV is this? My sister lives in Cowan and I’ve noticed WV has A LOT of abandoned homes.
ОтветитьGreat video Kappy. I have a client who has a trap door under her kitchen rug. She can use her basement for storage etc. It’s great!!
ОтветитьNo kitchen in the first place?
ОтветитьFireplace still there, mantle removed. Every time!….. nope. One left upstairs.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьIs that black mold?
ОтветитьLooks like the second place has a fairly new metal roof on it. I’m glad someone has done that to protect it as much as possible from the weather.
ОтветитьI believe there’s no bathroom or kitchen in the rooms for the general store because it was probably boarding rooms with an outhouse would be my guess. Thank you for your videos !
ОтветитьShelving was well done & has lasted. "Living quarters " might be a stretch--nowhere up or down to prepare a meal. The View from the upstairs porch was really nice, when there weren't cars zooming past.
ОтветитьThe inside is better than the outside
ОтветитьThank You for filming these old places. I could picture horse and wagons and later cars parked in front of the old general store.
ОтветитьThose display cases that look like "they could be in a pet store or something" look like they could be brooder boxes for chicks
ОтветитьWhat a gorgeous view!
This is an awesome find!
That is very neat
ОтветитьIs this in Mason County?
ОтветитьYour videos are fantastic! You are very daring to walk on some of the floors that you come across.
ОтветитьThe upstairs of the store looks like hotel rooms. My Mom had friends who lived in a similar “house “ and the upstairs was rented rooms when it was first built. The biggest difference was an upstairs bathroom . There was also a huge kitchen downstairs.

ОтветитьI can see these precious homes being left, but where in the world does all the trash come from? I just can't seem to wrap my mind around that. Thank you for sharing this one with us, Kappy.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThx for posting this
