I saw this transphobic opinion and went “Fuck you”. I am a transman. I am educated in politics. I pressured people to vote. My family gets angry on my behalf for my safety and voted.

This opinion reveals this fear and real hesitation of democractic leaders, and the real reason why they’ve shyed about trans rights. But I’ve seen literally thousands of queer people come to the conclusion that the left is the smart option despite its faults. To the point that we forgot sexism and racism were big factors and thought Harris would win despite her cautious campaign.

Im so tired, this past year and especially the last two months made me realize how little my family cares about others and me especially. I'm a trans woman who just turned 19 and I'm realizing how dead most of my family is to me because i was never really alive to them. I just cant take it anymore, i cant leave home, i have to keep quiet and nod my head, i have to be complacent in a family that has no sympathy for minorities of any kind. Im not sure hou much more i can hold on. Im so angry and sad and extremely disappointed in the people i thought i could trust most.
