Congrats on the new project! Sounds like lots of fun mods in the future. Do you have any reasons or other examples of why you didn't do the Storyteller Mode LT (Also on the Ford Transit chassis). We have that model so would love to do a comparison (perhaps a collab) in the future!

The Storyteller is the finest van made. It has a great cool factor but it's not practical for two. When we looked at the ST I noticed you had to turn sideways to pass by the groove lounge. Would be fine for a single I think. The only RV between a van and a class c is the Ekko right now. Imagine an Ekko made with Storyteller quality!

so glad you found a new exciting RV. a far cry from the Jayco Swift. I sold mine soon after buying it... nothing but problems. Congratulations and many safe miles and smiles ahead

Congrats on the new rig! They are more spacious. Curious how they drive compared to the Travato and how they are with parking? Can you still fit in a regular spot with a little overhang or do you have to take 2 spots? I think some places you can't street park if over 21'? Same problem with the Travato if you have a big bike rack. Going to be great having that garage! You probably know The Fit RV...they have a lot of Ekko mods.

If you need a few hours under cover you might consider one of those spray car washes. You could pull in and on a rainy day when no one is needing a car wash. You could spend hours there I think. So glad you got the EKKO if we were on the road for more than a week at a time we would totally do the EKKO. We are Travatoans! We have been looking at the Ekko for awhile. Wondering if you think breaking camp everyday is any issue and what you think of the cassette toilet. Great content!

Did you got the camp kitchen option? What the generator vs the extra solar power option?

Did you selected the regular one or the one with the roof tent or bed?

Have you seen the mods the Fit RV channel did to their EKKO? I love the mods to the kitchen.

People die for or jump into Mercedes Sprinter bandwagon without considering the following:

1. A diesel vehicle cost $7,000-$10,000 more than the same gas vehicle.
2. For been a Mercedes, it will also cost you much more.
3. The EcoBoost engine is more powerful than the Sprinter engine.
4. The diesel cost like 45% more than gas but just 10% better mileage.
5. A diesel mechanic is more difficult to find and much more expensive.

Thanks for posting these very informative videos. One question: Why did you choose a van rather than a 4x4 truck with a small fifth wheel? Advantages: (i) greater off-road access since there are many places an Ekko van cannot go; (ii) belongings won’t get shaken, damaged or covered with dust on rough unpaved roads, (iii) more space and comfort, (iv) less expensive since the combined cost of a truck plus small 5th wheel is less than an Ekko. Is the popularity of vans due to (i) image & aesthetics, (ii) fear of backing up, (iii) ease of parking and driving? Or something else? I’m trying to decide what to get, any thoughts appreciated.
