Wont changing wheel size affect how your spedometer reads? Your car uses wheel rpm to calculate speed, so a smaller wheel will read that you're going faster than you are, and a larger wheel will read that your going slower than you are, which could be dangerous.

Thinking if mods in this context of a daily, i think its important you know exactly how fast youre really going. Do you just have to match smaller wheels with thicker tires and get the exact same overall radius as your oem setup? Seems difficult to get it to come out the same

I drive an 11 mini cooper, base model auto trans. I tell people "i upgraded the intake for MPG and range, i put on expensive tires for grip on poorly maintained roads, i took out the back seat for cargo space. I had to teplace the whole exhaust system because tue old one had too much carbon coating (a legit issue with this car) and i couldnt find a brand new stock replacement at the time that wasnt $2,000 (flat out lie)

Every reputable VW tuner recommends NOT using the DV+. Just go with the factory DV but make sure is a revision d model. The stock DV easily holds boost on cars tuned well past 400hp.
