Rolex Air-King 126900, a unique Rolex watch, or The Ugly Duckling from the brand?

If it were made by other brands ppl would be saying it's a joke. The dial font and numbers are all over the place.

Thanks for the review. I like that it differs so much from your standard Rolexes. And unlike the previous version this is much more wearable. I am on the waitlist/wishlist for the Airking and should be getting it soon (according to my AD).

Its the best of the line-up. Fit, functionality and style.

I own one it’s fantastic and looks different than the ordinary Rolex watches designs.

I Have the 116900 and I will be getting the 126900, I love this watch and as for being boring it definitely is not. What was boring was my Submariner which I sold everyone has one and the amount of fake Submariners around put me off the watch.

The AK is an oddball in Rolex portfolio and I like oddballs. The new AK is much better than the previous version with all the new updates!

I love the new Air-King, it definitely have personality.

Got the New AK from the AD pre price rises, it's the 1st watch I got the call for and for that reason I'd never sell it 💕

This and the “celebration” dial OP are Rolex’s two worst designs ever.

I have it, it's definitely different, but I like it a lot!!

Own a 214270 Explorer MKII, getting the new Ranger soon and on my wishlist the new Air King. For me the perfect 3 watch collection.

In a sea full of GMT’s, Daytona’s, and Submariners, the Air King stands out.

I love the look of these! Would be nice to have a variant with numbers be 13-24 instead.

I love this watch, the only one with Rolex green.

Not a Rolex fan-boy, that Said, there are two Rolex watches that always caught my eye, the Skydweller and the modern green Air-king. The Skydweller was too thick for my taste. The previous Air-king was tempting, but not quite there. Then they introduced this model and, shit!!! I just assaulted my bank account…

It’s god damn ugly. It’s not symmetrical. You go from 10 to 3 ? Wtf? You from 25 to 6? Ew

Because it's different and wears like a dream, i've added the 126900 to my collection. I love the new better and slimmer case❤

The hyper focus on the “Bloodhound” connection is greatly over blown. “Bloodhound” did NOT give Rolex this design. ROLEX invented this design. They shared it with Bloodhound (who cares). And used THEIR DESIGN in this watch. It’s a ROLEX design. It’s no more bound to Bloodhound than Bell & Ross is beholden to Boeing. Stop the dilution of this awesome, unique, and proprietary Rolex design.

My Air King just arrived today and my first impressions is it's way too fucking small. I never tested it out on wrist and I'm really regretting it. My first Rolex and I'm thinking I fucked up. Almost certain I'll be selling it. Maybe I'll give it a couple weeks of wrist time but I'm not holding out much hope. God damn I'm disappointed.

I love it. Youngsters are quietly acquiring it coz a hype will make it harder to get. it's not flashy but rolex with sportiness and bit of formality on it. No other rolexes are as good as a daily driver as this one.

Great watch managed to buy one last week great daily wear.

I like it. The flieger "B" dial/explorer mash-up aesthetic just appeals to me and I like the little splashes of color in the logo and seconds hand. When I tried it on, it was a close second only to the explorer 40 in terms of feel on-wrist for me. The more I look at photos/video of it, the more I actually prefer the aesthetic over the explorer. I'm "on the list" for both and will happily buy the first one I'm offered though.

I wonder why they would add crown guards to the Air-King, but not the Explorer. The Explorer would seem to be more exposed to the elements than a pilot’s watch.

Just got this Watch a few weeks ago and love it.. The Yellow crown & Green Rolex text on the dial & second hand looks pretty cool IMO. Excellent bracelet along with case with crown gaurds looks vastly improved over the Previous one with the thicker milgauss case. Still a bit quarky overall but that suits me just fine. 😎

The green and yellow Rolex colouring, the fit and size, the beautiful shine on the bracelet, it’s beyond all the other Rolex models in my opinion. I’m lucky to own one and for me it’s perfection.
