King Peter vs King Miraz (Duel - Part 2) - The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Me squinting my eyes to see a single drop of blood after Miraz is stabbed by Peter 😣

Peter is actually better match for this than I remembered. He's not the one they plan to install on the throne, he's fully human which makes him respectful opponent for the all human enemy, and he's probably the best fighter they have. I don't know what Miraz was doing but he still isn't Narnia's official ruler and that council behind him could just agree on the replacement if they haven't already. And he's shown to be a good warrior.

You can see that miraz knows that peter, while in the body of a teen, he fought the white witch 1v1 and fought the wars of that time. While now he might not be as strong as high king peter before exiting the wardrobe again, he still knows how to fight and to see how he can fight with a king of miraz level and win is amazing considering miraz genuinely has an overall physical advantage

Miraz even was a great fighter in my opnion peter could defeat miraz by chance even in the case of white wich she was more superior than him like miraz was but in that battle aslan helped him to defeat the white wich and in this one just by chance when mieraz sword fell dawn he could win other wise he was nothing .

They should have had Edmund fight Miraz. Edmund is the best swordsman Narnia has ever seen. He would have been capable of defeating miraz with more ease.

I also wish Edmund had a good fight scene where he fought a decent opponent so that we can see more of edmunds skill. The closes we get is where he fights three talmarines at the same time and he kills all of them. But this was in the background and easily missed

If he really wanted to Peter could have killed him and the war would have been over

Peter and Caspian might not have gotten along well but his respect for Caspian was shown when he handed him the sword.

The fight choreograph in this movie is phenomenal. Like it feels like both miraz and peter are actually trying to hit each other, with whatever thet have at hand. The desperate energy, of trying to survive the fight with everything they got with very grounded tactics (such as damaging your opponent's limbs while they are down or turning their own weapons against them) is also very appealing for me

Peter was born a fighter!!!

This dual is more realistic then alot we see, going for legs, tripping ,using the shield more and using their hands when disarmed

Boiled down to hand to hand for a second.

I like to think Peter indulged that last gasp for a respite not just because of the massed Telmarine army, not just because Miraz honored their last one, but because he knew he could kill Miraz even if he tried to pull a fast one.

Edmund knew it" this is no time for chivalary".Literally they have depicted him.

Peter is so awesome in these movies. He's flawed, but in the end he is truly the High King of Narnia. This fight is so badass.

A couple things here. 1: I love how he shows this respect to caspian, knowing he deserve justice/vengeance for his father. It’s like he finally understands caspians anger, and truly cares and respects him, especially for saving Susan. 2: Peter was in the history books of Telmar which told the history of the War with the Witch soooo he already has taken lives, 3: “it’s not mine to take” sent shivers down my spine but in such an awesome way.

Not killing his evil uncle Miraz, Caspian showed the right behaviour of a future good king like him, that is having mercy even against his worst enemy, even though he doesn't deserve that

Finally a sword fight that is actually realistic for once!
