I have a 30 gallon air compressor. Does that suffice instead of a turbine?
Ответить5 years late... it isn't a fuji, but it will do. Thanks Mark! Great information.
ОтветитьThank you for the information, well done!
ОтветитьWhat needle size were you using on the Fuji? It looked like it sprayed that thick stuff with no issue
ОтветитьWhat exactly is the difference between a turbine set up compared to a pneumatic air compressor set up?
ОтветитьGlad your doing better with your health. Thank you for your content.
ОтветитьHi mate what size would you recommend would be ideal for spray painting?.....dont want something thats overkill either, thanks.
ОтветитьIt's not a Fuji but it'll do
never is to late
maybe
:))
Very glad to hear your surgery went well and you’re still making great content to this day!
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьShould I get a mini mite 4 or 5 I might think about the Q5 too but it's expensive I want to paint my own car witch one should I get ?
ОтветитьHave you ever tried graco finish pro 9.5?
ОтветитьDid you use the same needle diameter on both sprayers?
ОтветитьAmazing explanation thks so much.
ОтветитьIt’s not a Fuji, but it will do. Keep the videos coming. New to woodworking. Great content.
ОтветитьIt's not a Fuji, but it'll will do.
Great video, thanks
Its not a fuji but it'll do
ОтветитьWhat would be the best one if I am painting a car.
ОтветитьOutstanding info thanks 🙏
ОтветитьWhat about avanti's turbine from horrible freight?
ОтветитьCan you spray High solids urethane's
ОтветитьI have heard these turbine compressors send hot air to the guns. Reading comments on the OEM web pages on these units I see this as the most common complaint for all of them. Some paints and additives do not tolerate the heat very well by drying too soon or drying paint still in the cups. Can you give an idea of delivered air temperature since it is such a low pressure coming out of these units? I am looking at using one of these for my home projects, and have some concerns on this line of thought. Also, do they inject moisture into hte air stream at such a low pressure? Do they need an air filter to remove moisture is the question)..
thanks in advance! Great video and comparison!
Awesome video
ОтветитьIt's not a fuji but it'll do! Haha am I too late? Currently going through all your videos sir, I love your narration ability and skill! I am over here steadily getting better by just listening!
ОтветитьI'm not that picky, it will work great for me.
ОтветитьIt’s not a Fuji but it’ll do… wait this was 6 years… still have the sprayer?
ОтветитьI have the Fuji 4 setup. as an accessory, a 6' whip hose is an absolutely necessity. It's also critical to have the right right Cap set. For latex, a 1.8mm cap set is recommended.
ОтветитьI use a two stage for latex all the time and have absolutely no issues. It handles everything I put through it. Some people say that thinning the paint will change the color but I have not seen that problem on any of my projects. I have tested that theory and again, seen no changes.
ОтветитьIt’s not a Fuji, but it will work. How old is Ngo where are
ОтветитьI wouldn't call that orange peel i would call that texture finish
ОтветитьYou always are fair in your assessment and delivery of information. I really like how you are truly interested in showing us what works, what our options are so that we can make our own decisions.
ОтветитьIve been eyeing the turbine units for a while to replace a big compressor and it would be portable if needed. Ive never found and answer to if i can use my existing guns on those units. I have quite of few guns im happy with how they spray. Big question can you use a gravity fed gun with those with hose mods of course. I like my gravity fed setup with my easy to clean cup liners.
ОтветитьI bought the Q5 and I think it sucks, or a should say my results are abysmal. Can't get it to spray nitro cellulose lacquer without orange peel. And it uses a TON of product. I'm sure there is something I'm not doing correctly, but it's a mystery to me. I get a MUCH better result(way easier) with my Harbor freight who flung do gun. Could have saved myself a wad of cash.
ОтветитьWhat about the gun, difference between gravity feed ones and the one you used on the fuji with the paint on the bottom?
ОтветитьThinking about buying the Fuji Semi Pro 2 to paint with when I paint vehicles in the future. I only paint my own vehicle now though.
ОтветитьGot an Apollo Precision 5 LE, all pimped up, 5 stages, spent over 3k on it and all the accessories, used it a lot for the last 5 months and today the turbine just burned out. Went to Home Depot, a little skeptical and I bought a $69 Husky HVLP gun, because I really needed to finish this job today. Hooked it up to my compressor, tuned the controls a little bit and I'm sorry to say it, but I got the exact finish as from a $500 Apollo gun with a $3000 Apollo sprayer set up. I don't want to be the one killing mo one's dreams, but these HVLP turbines are not worth the money. I'm switching to air compressor. A good size air compressor, with a moisture filter and a decent gun will get same results, for fraction of the money and last way longer. I'm so pissed I haven't tried this before spending so much money on the Apollo. If you know how to paint using a sprayer it almost doesn't matter what gun you use. These turbines always burn out. I burned a Fiji 2 times, i said let's get the nice one, got the Apollo, double the price of a Fiji, same result. And now a $69 Husky gun leaves both these in the dust. I'll keep a turbine just for on site job touch ups, but these things are not worth what you pay for.
ОтветитьIt's not a Fugi but this will do.
ОтветитьI have a fugi 4 stage with the T70 gun first job was a 47 foot Yaht in 12 mph winds and it turned out like I did it in a paint booth beautiful paint job, I'm painting cars now with it,,
ОтветитьWhy not just use a portable air compressor. This is so bulky
ОтветитьWhat a waste of a video. Why not demonstrate them all.
ОтветитьGet a 6 stage and never have to thin it out.
ОтветитьI know this is a blast from the past, but does anyone know the difference between the Q4 GOLD system and the current Q4 PLATINUM system?. I have a chance to buy the older one but i cant find a manual online anywhere.
ОтветитьQuestion, for a beginner would it be better to buy a lower end machine, or is it worth it to get the latest and greatest q5 plat and not need to upgrade?
ОтветитьIts not a Fuji but it will do
ОтветитьHonestly I've been using one for 2 years. the quality is perhaps the best.
But definitely not practical to use with latex paint.
The fact that I have to water down the paint even after using different tips is no fun.
I just don't like mine.
To each their own. I'm looking into getting Graco quick shot. Yeah a way cheaper machine in quality, and yes, more expensive. But I think it's a better choice.
Someone should make a comparison between both of them.. even though one is hvlp and the other one is airless.
HVLP high volume of air not high volume of material. more air at a lower pressure..
ОтветитьIt’s not a Fuji but it’ll do
ОтветитьI've watched a number of videos on Fuji sprayers and this one by far helped explain the differences between the various models and what to consider for each price point. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьGiven the "needed" extra power of a 4 stage or above for latex paint at what point does it just make more sense to use an airless setup instead of hvlp?
