Do you think teaching her a deep latch in this position will help her in other positions in the future?? Baby girl is 2.5months
I feel so discouraged 🫤 I’ve watched so many videos…. Read so many articles and talked with at least 3 lactation consultant’s. And it seems like we are not getting it… 😢

My areola is big and her mouth can’t cover it. We can’t get a good latch and I don’t know what else to do. Please help.

Seems difficult to differentiate between the clicking sound you mentioned that means baby is losing suction versus the "k" sound that means baby is swallowing and breathing. How can I know which is happening?

Very informative... However my baby is doing everything except latching on deeply. My nipples actually looks like the tip of the lipstick even after I thought it was a good enough latch. My boobs are blistered, not enough awareness on this as there should be.

I had sore nipples and finally got a deep latch and my nipples are healing but now during feeding a little bit of areola is visible above and I'm having cracks there. It's like it can't go more deep but still pain is there. My baby is 2weeks and I have this issue only on one side. I worked with LC to get latch correct previously but this Crack on areola happened after that. Any insights ? It's my second baby and withy first bf journey was a breeze

So I have a good latch seemingly. Except I absolutely cannot get my baby to open wide to get fish lips. 😔 I’m trying to wean off a nipple shield.

I have a 3 months old baby, i really find it very difficult to give her good latch. Most of the times she only sucks the nipple part alone and not the areola, during the beginning of every latching somehow i try to make her suck full area, but slowly she starts losing her grip on areola. Please advise me on that

My baby is 3 weeks old, he shows all the right signs of a good latch but I went to a clinic today and they said it looks like it’s still a shallow one. He had tongue tie when born which has been corrected now but it seems like he’s remembering how he latched before.
It’s so painful to feed! I don’t want to give up but I don’t know what to try. The only thing the LC suggested was a different position but it still hurts, I don’t know if this could be because of previous damage though 😩 I’m just at a loss of what to try!
My LO is 5 weeks and still can’t get a deep latch. Mouth is not opening wide enough. I do notice clicking when having a let down with big gulps and pulls back more. I tried various positions because my let down is fast she frequently chokes. I do not feel any pain when she is nursing. This is so frustrating I don’t want to give up! I hope it gets better soon. I try for a deep latch every feeding. I am utterly exhausted
