8793 - Australian Trains by Raysha1811. Lara, Victoria. Friday, 27 October 2023 at 7:14pm. (1080p)

Hello. Thanks for stopping by. Regardless of whether you are a regular or a first time visitor, I hope you enjoy this video. If you do, please drop a comment, like and subscribe if you haven't done so already. I have many other videos available for you to watch and enjoy. A huge amount are in playlists to make selection easier for you. You are welcome to watch as many as you like.

The mighty N Class. They've been running since 1985 and have sported several liveries in their time. Some look atrocious (in my opinion) and others look fantastic (again in my opinion). Most, if not all now sport the purple and yellow PTV (Public Transport Victoria) which I quite like. The N class are being phased out in favour of more environmentally friendly trains, being the Velocity. Some have been taken out of service already and are leased to companies such as SSR who are utilising them for grain services. Some lines now do not see N class locomotives. Fortunately for me, the Melbourne-Warnambool line still does see them, and I am lucky enough to be around when they pass through. Today I was in Lara when this V/Line broad gauge passenger service 8793 passed through with N468(City of Bairnsdale)

As indicated by the channel name, I like to record trains in my home country, Australia. I'm based in Victoria so most of my content is local, but I also look for trains whenever I travel, so have some from Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. I will get some from other states when the opportunity arises. The vast majority of my clips have end screens, and I rotate through them. They are V/Line N class locomotive hauled passenger services. I have started off the year running through the locos in Numerical order. N451, N452 etc and if I have multiple of the same locomotive, I have run them in succession, so you might get 5 videos in a row with the same loco, but it'll be a different service, date or location.

Most of the freight services I capture are running Standard Gauge, and a small few are Broad Gauge. The passenger services I get are predominantly Broad Gauge and a small few (The Overland, Great Southern etc) are standard gauge.
Gauge specifications are listed below.

Again, feel free to comment, like & subscribe but most of all, "keep train"ing.

CFCLA = Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia.
GWA = Genesee & Wyoming Australia.
JBRE = Journey Beyond Rail Expeditions.
PacNat = Pacific National.
SBR = Specialised Bulk Rail.
SCT = Specialised Container Transport.
SSR = Southern Shorthaul Rail.
TGE = Team Global Express

BG = Broad Gauge (1600mm/5’ 3”)
DG = Dual Gauge.
SG = Standard Gauge (1435mm/4’ 8 1/2”)

Regards, Raysha1811
