I think a neat idea when they're gonna replace cartoon cat is to essentially change him to a public domain character. Julius could work as disney doesn’t mention/use Julius anymore, and the design can technically still be kept (with minor edits of course) but still have a familiar name so it’s not a ripoff cartoon cat, at least not entirely. Felix could work to (kinda like 2011x or pn Mickey) as a famous character but evil and corrupt concept again. Although he might have slighter risk due to him still being used despite his earlier depictions now in the public domain.
