Just eat vegetables, not vegetable and chemical mush for fake color and taste.

Take some actual hamburger, mush it in your hands and fry it up. Now take plant / chemical burger without any salt and seasonings and tell me you can't tell a world of difference.

I love beef so much, no way I could be fooled. I have had both beyond and impossible, they taste good (impossible is better) but there is a definite distinct flavor and texture from beef.

I have tried veggie and real burgers and for me the only thing I notice is how much fattier beef is, I do still enjoy beef over veggie but I'm astonished that they have come this far with plant based meat

Impossible tastes like an average gas station burger. Not bad, and definitely better than a poorly cooked burger, but it can't compare to good beef.

These ain't new products ,this is been going on a long time Wendy's has a beefy flavor ,soy is a different burger ,and veggie burgers as well ,the are marketing them but have been around, herding us all ,no pun intended we are the cattle,😅. I've had them all at one place or other. A bison burger is beef.

Also tested both and while they are good, the meaty taste feels cheap. If I was served that in a restaurant I'd think they just went for the cheapest ground meat they could find.
Compared to ground meat made at home from a good quality steak, the difference is impossible not to notice.

I tested eating the patty alone and eating a burger.
In a burger, it does the trick, if a fast food chain had them at the same price or cheaper than real meat, I'd go for it sometimes. With a higher price tag I'd just go for real beef all the time.
As a stand alone patty, the difference is too great to be ignored.

I also don't like how it's mostly carbs and fat. The list of additives is also quite high, real meat is most likely more healthy.

Now take 1/4 beyond 1/4 impossible and 1/2 beef then make half and half beef and impossible

My favorite topping for the impossible Burger is definitely bacon. Just adds that right amount of flavor. But my favorite topping on a hamburger in general is the woman that made it for me.

Here in France we only have beyond burgers, I'd love to try the impossible food burger.

Where the beyond meat burger tastes more like a seasoned beef burger, it seems like the impossible burger is more like a standard beef patty.

Beyond has a really weird taste to it

This crap has a crazy aftertaste that tastes like cat food smells. The only people who think this crap tastes good don't know how to cook beef.

To be fair, super low fat beef does not taste anywhere near as good as 73-27, 80-20, or even 85-15. That's the only way you could possibly trick people into thinking these are anywhere near equivalent. Demonizing animal fats that have been the basis for the Western diet for centuries before the past couple decades is a giant scam that has ruined the health of our country.

Can’t quite get behind the aftertaste of the Beyond Meat. I think I’m gonna be sticking to Impossible.

For meat eaters, it's a different experience, I guess. I've been a vegetarian for 40 years and the Beyond is by far the best tasting. I once ordered an Impossible burger at a restaurant and I only managed one bite. That's how awful it was to me. And this is a restaurant known for its burgers, so the cooking wasn't the issue. In general, though, I do not like products that taste like meat, so Impossible probably does match beef better than the Beyond burger. So, I guess if you are looking to simply sub out beef for a healthier option, Impossible is the way to go. If you aren't looking to get the beef taste, I would go with Beyond.

Dang and I bought Beyond to start my vegan journey. I have to try the Impossible burger.

On the same grill was cheating. We all know darn well the fake burgers picked up a trace of actual meat juice that way. (Using Angus, which most people aren't used to, was also shady.)
