Believe me as an montenegrin, im so fricking dissapointed, Baryak was Public`s fave, they deserved to win, but unfortunately we had "expert jury" full of boomer foreigners that voted out of their personal preference instad of thinking of it as like "What could be the best contender/material to participate at eurovision", even i dont listen to that kind of music aka Baryak, its not for me, but at that moment they presented us with the BEST POSSIBLE performance out of all ppl that sang there that night and im my personal opinion the best option for Eurovision song contest. They kept my focus from the start to an end. W.e i wish we do not qualify to the finals and i wish we keep our NQ streak, bcs thats what we are known for and certainly not for sending acts that are good.
ОтветитьI don't think any of Neonoen's competitors put on a performance that would necessarily qualify at Eurovision. The ballads aren't special enough to grab the televote at Eurovision, and Baryak didn't put on a stage show. Though Kjet maybe could have taken a Blankalike route to the finals; it was cute. For all the messiness that was Clickbait's performance, I can see their general vision. I personally would revamp the song. Maybe have the blacksmith construct a shield & sword to do battle, and end on a final boss battle with a robotic blue bird.
ОтветитьYou really are oozing negativity today. The Montenegro public and the jury liked it. So you are directly criticising their taste and choice.
ОтветитьJust my interpretation, and I could be completely wrong, but I think the connection between the lyrics and the post-apocalyptic attire is about the dangers of online clickbait, our inability to assess the quality and veracity of the information we consume online, and how harmful that reality will almost certainly be in the long run. Our willingness to click on what appears to be want we want to hear, simply because it is what we want to hear, even if it is disconnected from reality, will ultimately destroy us.
The song and the performance needs work for sure. But I think it has potential.
Another reactor within the first few seconds of their reaction said something like (and I paraphrase), "We're already seeing the Bambi Thug effect." I'm not sure I agree with that. But I am not dismissing it, either. When we saw Bambi Thug in the national selection, many of us saw potential for something spectacular. I see potential in this one as well. Bambi Thug level spectacular? I don't know. But I think there is potential here. We'll see what happens.
I also don't like this song. But they might improve until ESC
ОтветитьIt's definitely growing on me the more I listen to it. A good revamp and improved staging is what we need. That being said, I really CANT see Emmelie De Forrest (she gave it 12 points!) vibing to this haha!
ОтветитьI hear a bit of David Bowie in this song, I don't know if I like this song but I actually like some of David's songs.
ОтветитьI like mélodies ❤
I don't like song sorry Monténégro you finishing 38/38
Everything is bad, lyrics is worst part. Trying to use eng slang in such a bad and untastefull way... Like a 3yo wrote it...
It is ether rigged or they are all delulu that this will do well on esc...
