I live close to fort wayne. Its really cool to hear about places i know
ОтветитьPeople buy and selling shit that was never theirs. That’s all I see.
ОтветитьMan, had other tribes United with Tecumseh and established a united nation they may have been able to repel expansion. Everyone had their own agenda. If anything, we can learn from this and understand, at the least, that a United nation is stronger than divided peoples
ОтветитьThe U.S. declared war because the British Navy would stop U.S. merchant ships and impressed (a form of naval imprisonment) then or even out right plundered them.
ОтветитьLearning more about my Lenape heritage brought me here. Amazing video and history telling!
ОтветитьCant believe a tribe would name there chief after a lawnmower motor
ОтветитьThis really is fascinating. I could only imagine the hatred though, nothings worse than watching horrible things and being too insignificant to do anything. Cant really imagine anything different though, the lines for communication and dialogue were not there and would have failed anyway with colonials and the hardcore tribesmen alike.
ОтветитьThis here is a true badass.
ОтветитьLearn correct PRONUNCIATION for God's sake 👎
ОтветитьTecumseh - Panther passing across!!
ОтветитьIt's not Odawa, but OTTAWA!!!
ОтветитьAllegheny Mountains is incorrect, they are called the Appalachian Mountains.
Ответитьtecumsah KILLED my five-gran Pappy. he was a monster!
ОтветитьThe part about Tecumseh’s father dying and telling him to protect the tribe with his last breath then Tecumseh growing up to be a badass warrior is like something out of a movie
ОтветитьTecumseh was a hero
ОтветитьOur people called them long knives. Not big knives.
ОтветитьTecumseh's brother was "Chik-SIKA"... Not "Cheesy cow" his father was "Puck-sin-wah". 🙄
ОтветитьThe tragedy was even if Tecumesh and his allies won the war, their British allies would've likely colonized them in the end. That, and the Natives were still quarrelling against one another further west.
Ответитьim related to the Apache tribe
ОтветитьBeing raised mostly by my mother whos Canadian when I hear that line from Jefferson about how taking Canada would be a matter of marching always makes me laugh. Americans have a long standing tradition of underestimating their northern cousins.
ОтветитьTecumseh did what sitting Bull and Geronimo couldn't have. 😢
ОтветитьRESISTANCE BULL! IT WAS THERE LAND.
ОтветитьWow, this video is amazing! Fantastic job!!! I felt like I watching an epic movie with a similar vibe to “Last of the Mohicans”. The video was about 1 hr and yet I was enthralled the entire time. Tecumseh deserves to have a TV series about his life, he truly was a remarkable man.
ОтветитьThe French did in French on the Indians the truth here is that the French didn't want to immigrate to this country back then for some reason they liked it in France
ОтветитьThis Englishman needs to learn the definitions in English negative or integer this means that they were here always not that they just happened to walk upon it the only way you can call them native or indigenous is to change the definitions of those words
ОтветитьJust the fact to The Brick is involved with this woke video is no surprise there is no such thing as a Native American Indian volcanoes going off such as Yellowstone and the ones up in the northwest tells you that there was no human beings here American buffalo that's from Eurasia the bald eagle that's from Eurasia the most yes that's from Eurasia so is the elk they take up strips all the time from the volcano in Florida and Texas ashes were found out where the glaciers were in Canada it's a funny thing they only have 14 thousand years of DNA and other DNA 65% of is from eurasians don't you believe in science as a matter of fact they didn't start mentioning Native Americans until the 1970s it's a politically correct term how soon do Europeans become Native Americans I mean if it's only time that the group is here then when do they qualify
Ответить91% of comments: Absolutely incredible!
9% of comments: I am related to this dude!
No-one: Tecumseh caused an Earthquake
TECUMSEH was instrumental in the creation of Canada. Enjoyed the video , thank you 😊
ОтветитьIts the Appalachian mountains not the Allegheny.
ОтветитьTecumseh's war was actually the Indians' last stand, not Little Bighorn.
ОтветитьThis conspiracy & their ideology was genocidal.
ОтветитьThis might be the greatest of your videos!!!!
ОтветитьEven I know Tecumseh and I am Dutch.Wonder what they teach in American schools?I bet its not one of these subjects.
ОтветитьWilliam Henry Harrison Gigachad.
ОтветитьLots of comments asking why the tribes didn't unite. This is a simplistic view of indigenous culture. We did have nations, trade routes, and alliances between nations. We didn't have a standing military or nation-states, and weren't prepared for an invasion. We did engage in united guerilla warfare when we weren't dying due to smallpox and war crimes.
Also, north America is huge. Asking why we didn't unite is like asking why all of Europe didn't band together to prevent Mongolia from invading Russia or why France and England didn't unite. It's just how nations and continents work.
The time near the seven years War and war of 1812 is one of my favorites to research and learn about. It really was and earlier First World War, first Cold War, etc and challenges our entire education. Considering we only got like one or two paragraphs for each in awful school textbooks with biased and generalized whitewashed (literally) info
ОтветитьThis is awesome. Imagine if he had been able to make his independent pan native nation. There is also some evidence that this influenced and interested a young Joseph Smith and contributed to his vision or a pan Native (though of course with a ton of whites) independent country.
Also it is so sad how the southern tribes trusted American guarantees but later on these peoples were put on the trail of tears. Reminds me of all the empty promises the Israelis have given the Palestinians over the years.
Love the knowledge you’ve supplied. Stay thirsty for knowledge people.
ОтветитьAlways respect the netive american, as for the white people, they were mostly cowards
ОтветитьRead The Frontiersman, by Allan Eckert.
You are welcome.
What a great video. Thanks
ОтветитьPlease read the Treaty of Ghent. The war did not end in a stalemate. The GD Whitehouse was burned down.
ОтветитьWhen I had seen the 1811 date I thought there would have been a mention of 1812.
If you guys could do something equal to Canadian Natives that would be great, I am sure there are many wars and battles that Natives fought, yet all we are taught about is the Métis Revolution.
I am sure including the war of 1812 would also fill in much of the timeline until the Métis Revolution.
This romanticized narrative is ridiculously full of holes
ОтветитьI just found out my 5x great grandfather was Tecumseh. Thank you for putting this together
ОтветитьThe Tippecanoe is still a cool river today.
I've found many arrowheads near it.
I have to wonder if any of them were made by some of these guys who were part of this story.
IS IT WRONG TO DEMAND THE UNITED STATES, AND CANADA, REPATRIATE
THE EASTER SLOPE OF THE ROCKIES, FROM ALBUQUERQUE, TO YELLOWKNIFE.
AND THE WESTERN PRAIRIES, FROM LAWTON, TO SASKATOON.
TO ALL THE TRIBES.
IT MUST BE OURS ALONE.
COMPLETE, AND TOTAL SEPARATION.
FROM THOSE GOVERNMENTS.
SO THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES CAN RESTART, AND REESTABLISH OUR WAY OF LIFE.
THEY CAN HAVE A 100 MILES STRIP EITHER SIDE OF THE ORIGINAL UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD LINES.
SO THE USA CAN REMAIN IN TACT.
IM CERTAIN THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL SAY ITS NOT ENOUGH.
WHAT SAY YOU?
Adam Tsoodle
KIOWA TRIBE
Hollywood can make a awesome movie about this
