Thanks for recommending the Scotte Vest. Bought one a few months ago and already used it. Great piece of travel equipment.

My buddy had a complete search. He had a piece of gum in pocket. The tin foil caused an alarm. Took a long time to find it. Flat and smooth

do not wear pants that sag in the crotch...after being pulled aside and groped more than thrice, i always wear or pull my pants up so there is no sag in the crotch area, and i wear a bra with no wires

I take hiking boots and sandals traveling so I wear the hiking boots as they take up too much room to pack
They’re easy to take off as I loosen the strings a few people before I reach the baskets
Then I just carry them to a bench and put them back on

As a non USA traveller, it seems there is a lot of variability in standards within the TSA, and inconsistent behaviours. Under Trump it will only get worse.

Once I was coming to Spain bringing a package of gluten free baking powder (from the States) with me (for my mother-in-law who is GF) in my carry-on. Yes, of course they pulled my backpack aside to drug test it! But, it was okayed. Hahaha.

I was so groped by a security guy at the Bangkok airport...Something set off the detector..he pulled me aside and did the wand..it beeped..then he ( using his palm not the back of his hand) started touching my butt...he did that 3 times...each time really touching and squeezing...turns out I had a dime in my pocket...I was so offended...I got back in line ...just to test him again

Or here’s another tip you guys get TSA pre-check you get through the airport much faster just make sure you don’t have liquids in your carry-on unless they’re in a small container separated. I’ve never really had a problem with the clothes that I wear going through TSA.😊❤

I know a person carries a back pack and in-between her roll up shirts she brings drugs from California either wrapped in foil or in Mason jars she being prechecked in to tsa for a long time and she brings gummies of all kinds and pot ..she never has to go thru this process how I don't know .she also gets away mailing to all her friends she gets away with . She lives in California for pass 4 yrs and uses her home address in Georgia near Atlanta .her vehicle register Ga. And all her mail and banking goes to mail box of her dad's she does have small Job's she does in Georgia as event planner .and food trucks she makes money off she gets food trucks to Area's where they make money she makes so much from them .and don't own .and twice a year she does events at restaurant and bar .when oysters come fresh in as the owner has a event . So she has her money or checks sent to her dad address .so she travels in several times a year and her Dad says her back pack so heavy also use to seal pot in bags but was told in main jars with foil gets undecided. So how many others are doing this

When I fly, I wear cargo pants. I also have zipper pouches, similar to those designed for power cables for laptops. I load those pouches with everything that goes in my pockets and I pull the pouches out of my pockets to put in the scanner bin. I hadn't thought about the vest idea, at least not for a while, but I think I might, especially a Scott Evest.

Question for a trip I’m taking mid March would a shirt that says
I’m just a they /them out there causing mayhem be considered something that I should avoid wearing on the plane because I don’t think it’s offensive it’s supposed to be it’s pride basis supporting me and my fellow non-binary people was supposed to be an exclusive like showing that I am part of that should I embroidery that shirt to the airport sat on the plane in either direction physically from Rhode Island to Florida or back would that be one of the shirts that could cost some issues wanna know generally want to know so I don’t cause any upset or uproar that I have a hard enough time going through because of my cane going blind so that is enough of a thing to handle that with me and my me my dad always get pulled over me with my kid and my dad with his hip hip replacement and now he’s got stench so close and back up just because of that I hate for my shirt to add to it, so would that kind of a shirt the one that should avoid even though it’s supposed to be like inclusive true like supporting of please let me know just so I don’t make any mistakes by running out if I shouldn’t

SCOTTeVEST is a GREAT brand. I’m in my 70’s and for years I’ve worn the vest, the cardigan, skorts and dresses from this brand- great for traveling and for wearing out and about. Pockets galore and sizes for most everyone. Most items come with color choices. Wear and wash well.

Outside of my jacket, I wear track pants, a long sleeved shirt and shoes that can easily slide on and off. I put my phone, ring, passport and all papers together in a passport organizer I have. Anything else that is clunky goes into my backpack. I never keep anything in my pockets. I get to the line, take off my jacket and shoes and usually breeze through.

Off to Iceland in June, usually have on sneakers going thru TSA but they say you need waterproof boots over there as the weather is unpredictable and it is muddy. Packing heavy boots in a carry on or checked bag is too much.

1- The TSA does not have "Agents", The screeners are officers.
2- The metal buckle doesn't mater. All belts should come off regardless.
3- You're pockets should be empty anyway.
4- The TSA is not judging your clothes.
5- The TSA is not going to tell you to take of your base layer. SMH
6- The metal detector is NOT going to alarm on your underwire.

I’d rather just pay the luggage fee and check in everything except what I absolutely need to bring into the cabin.
As little as possible in the carry-on (computer or tablet, charging cables, a sweater, noise cancelling headphones, neck pillow), and check everything else in.

Saggy trousers can actually become a safety hazard in the event of an emergency, so for that one, I understand the flights attendants. Bear in mind, the flight attendants are not only waiters/concierges for the passengers, but also — and, first and foremost — safety wardens.

As for shoes: Velcro sneakers FTW!

I use to work with Airports in the 2004 to 2010 so post 9/11 and when talking with Homeland Security/TSA about their issues and it turns out not all Airports have TSA employees running them. The ones that were contracted out had a much higher rate of complaints and security breaches (and failures in testing). Security checkpoints are designed as a deterrent more so than a real form of security.
