March 25 2021 the Virgin resort Hotel & casino opened it's doors to the public almost 3 years in business and these Union workers want more money I am going to say it someone is taking these Union workers for a ride to the unemployment line months to come and Virgin has already hired 600 hard working people at $300 a day good money but no benefits it's time to move on and find another job

How much tax payers money was wasted on the Metro PD blocking traffic and arresting 55 people just to make the news? It was pre planned just for TV. They blocked the road and walked the protesters into position, then arrested them for tv. What a waste of our resources and money!

I don’t understand why they decided to wait this long to protest. If it were me and if I wanted my voice to be heard I would have done it during Super Bowl weekend back in February of this year. But I guess they cared for the money instead of a change.

Striking a company that is losing money is insane....the company goes out of business and all jobs are lost....Off Stip hotels can not pay the same money as Strip hotels.
Back in the day, the Culinary Union used to set off bombs in companies that wouldn't join the Union.

Lyft and Uber does the same to the drivers out in Vegas. They think we are slaves and expect us to live off petty pay. Rent is High, Power is High, Gas is High, Car Ins is High, Food is High... But the pay keeps reducing. I don't blame them for striking. Even if you gotten another job, you back in the same position. Imagine if all the Rideshare Drivers, Culinary workers, and Casinos Workers all got together and protest right on the F1 track. That would make a powerful statement.

Okay, I have been involved with unions I've worked for companies where I wasn't part of the union I've served on the board of a union. No matter how you look at it I wholeheartedly agree with the right to protest and pick it and strike. And more often than not things do have to get to that escalation before companies will do anything to help their workers. Because they can have billions of dollars worth of revenue coming in and be in the plus by billions of dollars but they don't want to give a raise to anyone that works for that. That is a problem with corporate America and that is why people do not want to work anymore. It's not that people don't want to work It's that people don't want to be abused. Having said all of that, it is not okay to be blocking roads and disrupting business. If you want to pick it in front of an entrance that's fine but as soon as you try to block someone from entering a business you have stepped outside of what a peaceful protest is. And then on the level of chanting no justice no peace, what the actual hell? But that is something that's chanted when rights are being removed not because you want to pay raise! So as much as I respect a person's right to protest I hope they round up every single one of those people that's not being peaceful and hauls them off to jail. I realize they'll probably get a citation and then be released but honestly maybe an overnight in a cell will make them think twice. And again I don't think that a peaceful protest or a peaceful picket line should result in people being arrested but when you cross the line from being peaceful into civil unrest there are consequences. Your right to freedom of speech and freedom of expression goes out the door when you start oppressing other people.
