The only problem with premiere is Adobe are lazy.. they built Adobe software based on Intel architecture.. while DaVinci resolve is built for all architectures reviews should use Davinci to show accurate benchmarks.. and maybe .. Maybe .. Premiere as informative subject ..

Hi Armando. I just watched a video with you testing the new Mac Studio with Premiere pro (I prefer Premiere over FCPX)...and you were very happy with the performance of Premiere. So I guess Premiere is finally really optimized for the M1? Which version of premiere did you use? Exactly? I tried a few recent builds and I wasn't impressed...I will get a Studio Mac m1max soon.

Still a PC guy... I can build a killer PC with the price of a MacBook laptop. With a 22k price for an apple PC I could probably run a AMD threadripper or a New intel Alderlake processor and would still cost me a half of that. The cost for an apple computer is basically 20% Specs and 80% brand.

Apple didn't make the laptop with you in mind. The SD slot is there because majority of the world uses it. You sounded quite silly at the end.

I think one thing you need to mention or at least show is rendering these projects on strictly battery power and not being plugged in vs being plugged in. The difference should be pretty noticeable….

Hello, :people :) :). I am a cyber security student and living in Albania. I am struggling to get a macbook for my work/projects in UNI because the wages here are very low and i cannot save enough due to macbook products being high priced, in Albania. I hope someone generous enough would help me if someone has a spare laptop which he doesn't use, for example. I would be thankful for life. I currently do my work/projects in internet shop caffees because i don't own my own laptop. I know its not good to ask around here but i am left without other possibilities. It would be a dream come true for me as it would boost my cyber security & programming career. I hope someone can understand, honestly, i would be greatful for life, and i would never forget the help. Thank you very much and god bless your families! <3

This test would be fair if it was run on FCP for Mac since we all know that premier is not well optimised for the Mac. So this video as of now is just one more biased benchmark review from a windows fanboy. Love your other videos but I feel this review was a bit too biased. Opinions might vary but this is just my opinion/suggestion for a better comparison video.

Cool video, but Adobe isn’t taking advantage at all of the new MacBook Pro not at all. The performance has been shown that Adobe needs to update their software big time.
In final cut and da Vinci resolve there is much more performance gains. If your an Adobe user until they update to actually utilize true 64 bit computing and the new M1Max theres not much of a point in buying one for Adobe software. Adobes code is lacking.

Just wait until the new Mac Pro with quad M1 Max chips. That puget PC is getting kicked to the curb.

Imagine if Premier was optimized for Apple Silicon.

Now imagine if you did the same export with Final Cut, something far more optimized. The raw power of the M1 Max smokes out even a 3080.

It would be great if you can do a comparison between both of the laptops at battery, not plugged in. I often work offsite and don't have access to power outlet every time. If you only could get the most out of the laptop when plugged in I don't think it's should be called a "Laptop" but a All in One PC since you can't carry the performance around.

Camera wise that comment about SD cards; i have two Canon C70’s with sd’s v90 uhs-ii type that are modern capable cameras that use sd just saying. Thanks for great review.

If you test the Gigabyte Aero then test it on battery power vs the MBP on battery.
Plus interesting to see how they differ in terms of portability.
I think that’s what is appealing about MacBooks is portability isn’t really compromised in the pursuit of power
