Sara. I love your videos. I think of you as a wise friend who is always pointing me to God. ❤
ОтветитьLove your channel! Would you please let us know how you prepare for emergency situations. With the recent hurricane here in SC - USA we have been without and have had to make due. I'm thankful that I was able to get my electronics charged because your voice is soothing and your everlasting faith has comforted us in this time to reflect. Please let us know, thank you!
ОтветитьNew Year New You! I liked the 2nd book best. I like that it was written by a doctor (like you) and seems more interactive. Thanks for sharing your journey with us! 🥰
ОтветитьNew Year New You!
Ответить"It is better to give than to receive" rang out to me, in particular, at this time. First I should say that a wonderful example of talking to G.d as so wisely recommended is in the film Fiddler on the Roof as the character played so beautifully by the late actor, Topol talks with G.d as a deeply loved reality who is present with him always. For those who don't know, this film is a take on the Jewish people living in imperial Russia. They suffered many pogroms and harsh difficulties, but the traditions held them together despite the challenges.
My family has a Russian Jewish lineage. Unfortunately, the Judaism runs through the male line, so I am not Jewish. This has always been a source of pain for me. In the world of man, this makes no sense as I am a devout Catholic. A religious sister (nun), in fact. Yet I have felt Judaism deep in my heart all my life.
This is why these words about giving rather than receiving rang out.
Some considerable time ago, I decided that if my love for Judaism and my feelings deep within me were true and honest, then I should not think of getting something. That something is recognised as Jewish. I understand why this can not be. The Jewish community must retain its purity and integrity. If I were brought in, who would come in with me? This would not be possible, but more importantly, it would damage the community I claim to love. I decided my pain was not as important as my duty. I shouldn't look to receive, only to give. You will understand if I do not say what I do to give to the Jewish community.
The feelings I have would seem to make no sense, but I am at peace. I will leave the details in G.d's hands.
Then, a few months ago, without thinking much about it, I had a DNA test done. I am roughly half English, and there it was... almost the other half was Ashkenazi Jewish. I burst into tears of joy. Perhaps I feel Judaism so strongly because it is in my blood. Blood that flows through my body and through my heart.
I know it changes nothing in basic terms, but that's the funny thing about giving without expectation. G.d in His infinite mercy finds a way of allowing you to receive. ❤
New year, New you. Happy New Year! Step by step weekly looks interesting. I always talk to God during my day too. Very thankful for all the Blessings from Him. Thankful for you too.
ОтветитьI enjoy your videos and your calm and cosy style. I hope you and your family fasted well. G'mar chatimah tovah x
ОтветитьYou are enormously inspirational and I found your video really moving. Your faith and your positive and loving attitude fills me with the love of God. I’m a practising Catholic and I give thanks to God for your existence and the good work that you do in both your daily life and your wonderful videos. Bless you.
ОтветитьI'm a reform Jew but when I was fasting yesterday I was reminded of your channel, and you have helped me to be more religious. Love from California!
Ответить❤
ОтветитьHi again! I wonder if you can guide me. My friend is looking for an article by a rabbi/physician, written in the 80's or early to mid 90's about the rationale of Kosher food laws in the context of Bronze age Israel. I noted the three authors you mentioned, but I wondered if this might ring a bell for you since you're Jewish and a physician and you know things. ❤
ОтветитьI just checked Amazon. Step by Step is not available and they don’t know when this book will be back in stock.
ОтветитьThat Step by Step book looks awesome!
ОтветитьNew Year New You! Hashem bless you and your family, Sara Malka!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this as I am yearning to get closer to God. I am currently reading the Torah each morning. It is a very important part of my day and I am happy you gave the words you say each morning. Thank you so very much. I will keep pressing forward to God.
ОтветитьEvery religion or specific way of life should have a “you” for guidance. I must say although I like watching videos where I’m looking at their face as they speak, the way you don’t do that is special. The words and meaning without a person’s look. No distraction. The people in your life are blessed to know you.
ОтветитьBless you.
ОтветитьNew year new you
ОтветитьI pray I could be constant with no gaps at least in three areas of my life.
I tend to be very spare of the moment kinda person.
New year new me 🙏
🎗🇮🇱♥️
Thank you so much for this!! Also, Happy Feast!!! <3
ОтветитьI am a pagan woman who lives through the seasons and the solstices and sabbats ( I guess they are from the Jewish Shabbat). I am a bit Jewish though, but never brought up with a believe. Although I am pagan, I do believe in God and Jesus, but also in reincarnation. The main thing is that you should respect every living creature and be good for one another ❤
ОтветитьNew year new you! Hope you had a lovely Rosh Hashanah - the step by step book sounds good will look that up :) Love the prayer card idea x
ОтветитьNew year, New you❤
ОтветитьI lost my 20 year old cat 3 weeks ago. She was my prayer partner and would often hold my hand while I was praying or reading my Bible. With her gone I have been struggling with my time with G*od. It seems so strange to pray to do all these things without her. She was my companion animal and helped to lower my stress and anxiety.
ОтветитьLove this as always. New year new you. I liked the book that including Journaling. Hugs to you Sarah
ОтветитьHi Sara, I love listening to your positive messages. In our world right now there is a great deal of negativity and I try to focus on the positive giving thanks for all the gifts God has given us. Peace be with you and your family always.
ОтветитьWow😮 I love your library! Hmm I like the self help weekly plan. But to avoid being overwhelmed I think I would choose the Self Help 10 steps.
I’m leaning for my conversion to Sephardic Judaism. And I really am enjoying your tips. I love how you explain that not only do we need the structured prayers in the Siddur. But it’s also wonderful if we can find ways to talk to HaShem throughout our day and your suggestions on how to go about it.
My favorite tips you gave in this video are Make space for HaShem by using different ways of focusing your mind and your surroundings on HaShem. Scheduling time for HaShem.
I also like the tips for Journaling. I used to write letters to G-d as a child. I like that you suggested something very similar to this.
Hi there. I am not religious but your channel made me happy. Is there any channel that will teach me to learn about your religion?
Ответить❤ Shalom, sister Sarah! I just wanted to say that G.od has blessed me so much with your videos! He is surely using you to bless others around the world. Do not be discouraged; continue His Work! G.od bless you and your family so much!! ❤❤❤ Shalom and Chag Sameach!! ❤
ОтветитьI would love to see more cooking and jewish traditions ❤
ОтветитьAs a Muslim am very inspired by your videos and they brought me closer to Hashem G.d that Abraham bow to. Cannot thank you enough. May Hashem bless you and your family
ОтветитьCan you do a thrifting video😅 I often thrift with my muslim friend and they dress very modestly
ОтветитьSarah hello from a Muslim sister. You are so welcoming and kind to everyone. Thank you. I believe you should choose ten steps to being your best because of the journaling component. I love reading and journaling. Thank you for the video. You always inspire me to be better in some way. ❤
ОтветитьI set my alarm on my phone to the Modeh Ani prayer sung by different Jewish musicians. As a single Jew who lives alone, my Reform synagogue is the gravitational center of my Jewish practice. It inspires me how much you incorporate prayer into your daily life. (I'm also in awe of your Judaica library!)
ОтветитьNew year new you!
I pray for your family, patients, friends, and community, Sarah. I was listening to the dear Sarah Cohen of ohel Sarah and heard your beautiful name and thought wow I need to go watch a frum it up video! Beautiful as always ❤
New year new You!!!
ОтветитьHow can I buy the journal and books you described here. Thanks ❤
ОтветитьNew Year New You
ОтветитьYou are such an angel! ❤❤❤ Bless you sister for the divine love and wholesomeness you bring into our world. 🙏✨❤️ You are such an incredible Mother and you inspire me so much! I love learning about your traditional cooking and have tried some of your recipes. God bless you and your family 🌹 🌹🌹
ОтветитьShalom “Sister frum it up”your post today is absolutely on point. To me, all of your posts are good. Keep it up, and May Adonai continue to Bless you. 🕊️💯
ОтветитьNew year. New you. Thank you.
ОтветитьYour mindset focuses work in such synergy that I don't want to single one out. I must agree strongly about praying Modah Ani the moment I wake up.
ОтветитьDear Sara, Thank you for inspiring me to become closer to Our Heavenly Father. I was raised Catholic, but I consider myself a Catholic Jew as I am Jewish on my mother's side. The most important issue is our devotion to God, which you are inspiring. I am a busy provider on a psychiatry consult service, and for me, a strong connection with God is important in order to better serve my patients. I am also amazed by your organizational skills, which have greatly influenced me to do better. I hope you make more videos related to your spirituality as I have watched this one over and over. Thank you for blessing me.
ОтветитьNew Year, New You! I especially loved the mindset when you chose 3 books for the upcoming year.
ОтветитьI’m not a religious person. At all. But I love your mindfulness, positivity, focus on your family. I find it helps me ground myself in what’s important. Thanks for sharing ❤
ОтветитьNew year new you 🎉❤
ОтветитьI love your videos, Sarah. You bring Hashem and light to all of your viewers.
ОтветитьSara Malka, I totally missed this one! My vote is the Step by Step book. I am having a difficult time obtaining a copy. We have so many of the same books you have in our home library! The Soul Sisters Zoom class with our rebbitzen is now on our third book, A Daily Dose of Bitachon by Rabbi David Sutton (Artscroll). I highly recommed it. ❤
ОтветитьCan I just say thank you so much for your videos and tips , since coming across your videos I've slowly changed a lot of things in our house, my kiddos and spouse has seen a huge change within our family, keep up the videos cause it has helped us as well as your delicious meals...stay blessed
