@Rusty Restore You must had a lot of redos on your brazing. Oxidation is no joke when it comes to bonding metal. You didn’t use flux to help the metal rods bond better to the shell of the gun. Most times, it’ll just not bond properly because of oxidation and just melting the rod onto gun won’t help. It creates bubbles and won’t look good after you grind it down.

This had to have been a mob pistol thrown to the bottom of a lake after a hit! There's no way someone would let a Colt get this bad!

I looks like a Colt Pocket Pistol that has a hidden hammer. The frame is only 3/4 of an inch wide.I have one that’s a 32 caliber and the palm safety makes it a gun that you need to be extra careful with when handling.

Some people should be awarded a doctorate in other areas of expertise. This man, along with others have should be praised for their skills! Imagine having a doctorate in “making things better”! I don’t see the difference between a the 3 doctors. Everyone has a specialty for humans. Why can’t we make it change from ‘mechanic to engineer, to Doctors? Im genuinely curious.. do you like purposefully get these this rusted by some chemicals or do you get customers who send these to you?
