ОтветитьOr go to Paris and follow the dots in straight line of Paris meridian.
ОтветитьGreat!
ОтветитьGreenwich surely deserves its place in world time. Its been earned over hundreds of years by brilliant men!
ОтветитьDon't pay to go in and visit.
You can stand on the 0' line for free !
In front of the site is the alley way with the Zero line on the wall. This is the original line and costs nothing to visit...
This was absolutely brilliant! How did I miss this in your library? There are so many I have yet to see in your history of videos. Royal Observatory Greenwich - would love to see. so innovative and creative so long ago with astronomy and clockworks. Impressive. I enjoyed seeing all the different types of telescopes and observatories where they were employed. Thank you for the narrative of the great history. Amazing I was very impressed with the reflection in the dark room and how it was developed. State of the art for that time. And the covered underground observatory - over 100 feet underground!! Yikes!
ОтветитьBrilliant presentation.
ОтветитьI've watched a lot of Greenwich videos but this is by far the best tour. Hope to visit here some day
ОтветитьThe image isn't coming out of the camera in a camera obscura. You literally are inside the camera in that instance.
ОтветитьLoved the video , very etertening
ОтветитьDo you have to buy tickets for the museum to be able to stand on the Prime Meridian? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьI have long believed that the Royal Observatory would be a good location to take a photo to be used as a cover photo for a hypothetical future Rammstein album.
ОтветитьTime will tell
ОтветитьHow long did it take you to go through the entire site?
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant way to start the year (and Happy New Year by the way!). Greenwich has to be my favourite part of London and, the Old Royal Observatory my favourite part of Greenwich. I’ve been countless times (and could seriously bore you rigid with various facts and figures) but never made it into the camera obscure, so thanks for showing that. I guess I’ll have to pay another visit….
ОтветитьAbsolutely wonderful video. You were so lucky with the weather to get those views of London. Beautiful winter day. I did go there a few times when I was a child. My brother met Patrick Moore the famous astronomer, but not there. So much to see there. That is what makes London so beautiful because it has so much history to see everywhere.
ОтветитьStunning view from the top. Amazing place. Thanks for the upload. (We have all the time in the world - the favorite 😊 Also - a stitch in time saves nine).
