Gorilla vs. Goose

So, understanding an animal’s body language is key to saving yourself from a defensive attack.
A goose charged my daughter, 3, many moons ago, so using a similar display I charged the goose. Me, being way bigger, and defending My “chick”, the goose backed off instantly.
Same applies to dogs. If you know how to diffuse a situation, or confuse the dog, you’re generally safe from a defensive attack.
Caveat. Less likely to work on predatory attacks

Yeah, I had a goose chase me once when I was a teenager. My response was totally different. I grabbed it by its neck and slammed it around like a rag doll. Those wings hurt, but being slammed against the gound hurts worse.

Just an assumption, but Silverbacks are primarily vegetarian, so they don't see prey. Just something making noise and it's not too dissimilar from a large human running away from a rat.

How can a gorilla be scared of a goose?

It is the polar opposite to what I saw happen with a chimpanzee troupe v geese. They were kept off the outdoor exhibit for months (upgrades) and geese nested in it. When they were let out, they took the eggs and massively greifed both geese. The geese were smart enough to stay out of reach, but the chimpanzees almost got them with thrown objects more than once.

You would not want to play against a goose in poker.

Bruh i got ran up on by a swan when i was a kid. I kicked that bird hard as shit, and it dipped out in a hurry.

One is 180 pounds of pure muscle, capeable of snapping a man in half with the merest intent, monarch of it's natural habitat with no natural predators, and the other is a gorilla.
