The T-34 was actually not the first tank to use sloped armor. Even the French Reneau tank of WWI had sloping armor on front. This is a frequent claim/misconception and admittedly the T-34 did use sloping armor a bit more than most, but it was not the first. One of sloping armor is the reduction of usable space inside. The T-34 did have the advantage of wider tracks that gave them superior mobility in the Soviet Union where there were few paved roads.

The current ABV-1150 Assault Breaching Vehicle is the current favorite of many. But faster, more agile and more mobile variants are possible that don't involve humans in the transportation of the line charge. And these will be able to strike far behind the battle front in the enemy's rear areas. To get improved variants implemented, existing proposals need to be expedited, reviewed and put on a production schedule. The lives of our front-line soldiers are at stake. We need to leave the heavy armored vehicle behind. The details of a more advanced proposal are available. An "air mobile" MCLC is possible and a proposal has been put forward.

Did not mention air-power once ... key in the breakout after Normandy, key in Vietnam, key in Desert Storm ... combined arms is a combination of ALL arms.
