So happy to come across this trailer for this old favorite from the day. My husband and I were SF buffs catching all we could, and this one was so different and so beautifully done we couldn't stop talking to our friends about it. I gained a special respect for ants ever since.
ОтветитьIm a Saul Bass fan
ОтветитьJamie Graham brought me here.
ОтветитьSembra bello !
ОтветитьThis movie contains some of the most impressive filmmaking ever captured. There's that animated scene with the towers that looks animated, but otherwise it's mind-blowing. The ant animation is really, really good.
ОтветитьI remember when this premiered on TV in 75' I was 10 and we were all talking about how much it blew our minds
ОтветитьDoes anybody know where to find an HD version of the lost ending?
ОтветитьRemove the intro just show the clip
ОтветитьComing soon on 4K from Vinegar Syndrome!!!
ОтветитьThis is why it's important to watch older Sci-Fi films, because many have predicted the future.
ОтветитьTarkovsky, meets 2001, A Space Odyssey, Contact, The Holy Mountain and Videodrome. Where we are at in the 2020's. Can you imagine that the technology we had in this Film from the 1970's is where we're at now? They had all the same technology, just different satellites, monitors and computer screens, but without the Wi-Fi technology, Computer tech programmers or Hi Speed Internet technology we have today. The Internet however has been around far longer than 1995, like we've been taught. They had hi speed internet all the way back in 1989 in some places, but they just withheld the technology and released in at a later date. I'm certain that leaders and businessman and some celebrities had internet as far back as 1983 and 1977 in some parts of the world.
ОтветитьThank you what culture horror!
ОтветитьAll the tik tok brains will definitely hate this movie.
ОтветитьBeautiful cinematography!🤩
ОтветитьMy childhood

Ответитьhorseshit
ОтветитьThey should rereleased this film I'm theater's
ОтветитьI have this routine that every first morning when people start work or school, i watch this trailer and i read the comments. i eat 4 white breads with sliced cheese on top, and 1 mug of hot chocolate on the middle. This is my 3rd year of doing this routine. It all started 3 years ago when i did exactly that and i got so many good memories of it that i had to start doing it as a routine. This is the day i did this routine once again. 9.8.2023
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid my family and I were out camping somewhere at a KOA campground. It was way outside of the range of any TV stations. We had a small black and white TV and I could barely tune in anything on it out on the picknick table. But there was this strange movie I was picking up. It was fading in and out, all staticky and fuzzy. But I watched it as best as I could. I was fascinated with it because I loved to play with ants, had an ant farm, etc. I was able to catch the title of the movie. Or maybe I was able to look it up in the TV Guide that Mom always used to get. Many years later I was able to watch the movie unobstructed and in full. I'll always have that memory of getting it coming in bits and pieces, fading in and out, which added to the mystery and intrigue.
ОтветитьAccidently messed up an ants nest behind the house today. Found an old plastic bag hidden in a stack of wood that tore apart when picked up. Seems there was some earth inside and the ants had set up residence inside. I hope I don't end up with a Phase IV situation now...
ОтветитьKiller ants? Call Dale Gribble!
ОтветитьMy brain hurts now.
ОтветитьMan and ant could have cooperated just needed to solve the language barrier.
Ответить"the best part about these actors is as soon as you're done filming, you can just squish em!"
ОтветитьI'm bored already
ОтветитьPretty sure they remade this with Marvel superheroes for some reason. 😁
ОтветитьSaw this when it premiered on TV movie-of-the-week. I remember TV Guide movie critic Judith Crist calling it "a slow-moving film about scientists doing stupid things, when a "biological imbalance" threatens".
ОтветитьNot to bring all the rabid fans down here, BUT I actually saw Phase IV in the theatre in 1974 when I was 14. My dad, myself and 3 other people were in the theatre! I wanted to RUN from the theatre in the first 10 minutes, but my Dad had dropped a hit of Acid before we started watching :( It was not a good memory, plus I was hoping my Dad would not crash the VW bus on the way home. Every time I hear Saul Bass's name, this bad memory comes back to haunt me !!!
ОтветитьStunning and hypnotic color photography, this unique film deserves cult classic status.
ОтветитьModern trailers: gives away everything including best parts 😒
Old trailers: have a drug trip loosely themed around our film 😵💫
this trailer is epileptic seizure inducing...
ОтветитьMuy buena esta película 1974.
ОтветитьThis movie was definitely a different kind of film experience. It was like climbing a really tall staircase, and when you got to the top you thought there was one more stair, but there wasn't and your foot falls through air and lands with a thud. Huge build up to a "What the" ending.
ОтветитьProducers of this film on LSD
ОтветитьI thought id seen every good Sci -fi since , well forever, since I'm a geezer. This movie ranks with the best of the !950s, 60s, 70s easily. Great storyline ! FIVE STAR
ОтветитьI saw this movie a long time ago, but it took an interview with the writer to have it make sense. He said that the movie was inspired by the question of: "what if in Kubrick's 2001 ants were chosen instead of humans?" The beginning and director's ending makes a lot more sense when you understand that.
ОтветитьOmicron 🙂 poster
ОтветитьSo this is what The omicron variant
ОтветитьTHE OMICRON VARIANT
ОтветитьSeen this as a Teenager. I was scared af. Masterpiece of animal Horror
Ответитьjust a warning that there are intense flashing images from around 2 minutes in
ОтветитьMilestone !!!
ОтветитьAnt facts
ОтветитьANT FACTS!!!!
ОтветитьStill hate the girl for going crazy inside the lab.... ;)
ОтветитьThid movie is crap
ОтветитьA parent's friend once sat next to me one day as I looked at this big ant colony by my feet and said "you know I saw this weird movie about ants as a kid". He showed me this trailer and I've been fascinated with this movie ever since. It's the vibe and aesthetic of the whole film is what makes me so interested, which makes sense because Saul Bass directed it.
