All your shown anti-virus programs failed horribly because none of them stopped the biggest malware from running. Namely windows.

.... If an antivirus detects it it is rookie malware... The state of security is horrible.. there are TONS of firmware level rats, UEFI rats and unfixable hardware backdoors ... The management engine is accessible when the computer isnt even turned on. If it has power and an internet connection its compromised.

Its not entirely only about how good windows defender is, you also have the User that should work coincide the windows defender and have an idea of what not to download. If you know when something is a scam, then the percentage greatly increases.

I got hacked 3 days ago, that's why I have this default icon, I switched just to be safe on everything. I was also just about to start some e-commerce stuff and imagine they got access to stuff like the store and all of that.

This happened because I disabled Windows Defender for an app that appeared as malware but thought that it was a false-positive.

there are only two major mallware sites number one is Google and number two is Facebook if you not carefull they bombart your computer with spy software and mallware google tell's his users that they protect your privacy but they don't beause they sell everything they can lay there claws on to advertising and the Dark web. And Facebook is even worst.
On this time a global investication is going on against those two by high federal police and special computer engineers

Not surprised at all. I've liked malware bytes for a LONG time.

Imagine calling a 11% (!!) FAIL RATE from a security suite "good" or "decent". Or calling it "much better than having no antivirus". This is probably the worst security "expert" I've ever seen.

Who do people forget the most important thing about defender?
Its not even ment to efficiently protect against Viruses inside the PC its ment to protect against outside attacks, Which it does so perfectly. anything YOU download or get somehow is YOUR Fault you dont need an Antivirus or say Defender is shit if you where so stupid to download a virus. The thing it was made for it does perfectly. and its even decent at protecting against viruses inside. so Dont say its shit. Its better than all the other bloatware. The real thing is that defender isnt ment to protect against human stupidity of downloading every shit the internet offers.

Remember this all, windows security has been tested with 100 viruses NOT windows DEFENDER. Security is builit in and free and defender is paid version.

I’m wondering how AVG Free compares, because I’ve used that since the XP days, and added MalwareBytes at some point. I don’t even remember if I turned off Windows Defender because it interfered or not. 🤷‍♀️

Can the speed of your computer alter the effectiveness of Windows Defender's cloud protection in mass-threat scenarios like this by changing its ability to keep up with the malware executions? If so you should do a video where you share the specs of your test machine and run a test like this on multiple computers in different performance brackets to illustrate the difference.

Interesting. Everyboday says that Windows Defender is enough and that third-party antiviruses are just bloatwares at best. After seeing this video, I definitey want to learn more about the topic.

Windows defender is ok but I prefer ESET NOD32 Antivirus or internet security (which is great for gaming pc's) ( this isn't me pushing people to buy this) I just mention this because out of every antivirus out there that exists this one has worked the best so far and is great on performance unlike Norton which constantly is doing something in the background and popping up with notifications while gaming.

If I’m gonna buy a machine for someone who’s totally computer illiterate I would never want this war between malware and antivirus software happening in the background at all. Instead, id just choose hardware+software that’s well equipped to stop the user from doing dumb stuff while giving them the tools they need. There are plenty of solutions out there that are good for this (chromebooks, simplified Linux distros with immutable filesystems and sandboxing, Mac), windows just ain’t it chief. And look I’m not saying that other environments are impenetrable, but the combination of poor understanding of computers and Windows itself is just asking for trouble. Windows defender is a solid first defense but it’s a click away from being the last line of defense.

bruh i don´t understand what yall talking about XD. Windows defender is literally dog shit, i have many simple viruses that are active, and im saying theyre simple because these viruses are adware, and im pretty sure adware is the most common type of virus (it causes random pop up ads on your pc).
So the thing is, that windows defender can´t even delete those from my pc, there is many of them but they are still there every time i have tried deleting them thru Windows defender.

We need a better way to uninstall app.
Like Android or Mac/Ios.

I think Windows Defender is a huge unsung hero these past few years. Windows essentially turned into Apple being that they just don't get virus's and malware anymore. It's really cool how right out of the box the system is really good at protecting itself with no need to purchase things like MacAfee etc.

I typically don't install third party anti virus because it takes up too much system resources.
