Political red tape bs doesn't belong on the battlefield. Too many good men lost their lives for it. Completely unnecessary and avoidable.
ОтветитьRespect to these guys, but imagine thinking this type of work makes Canadians safe at home
ОтветитьAnd finally, US + her Nato vessels retreated pitifully in panic and disorder from Afghanistan letting the ground (and Millions $ of weapons) to the Grateful Taliban ....
ОтветитьAll that killing just to give it back to the taliban along with billions in military weapons and vehicles that america left behind
ОтветитьIf only Israel had these same rules of engagement. Imagine how many lost of lives we’ve had but don’t hold others to the same standards.
ОтветитьI remember 1 Corporal telling me when He got back to Canada "The afghans just smoke hash while we fight" He said all he wanted to do was go home and smoke a joint, couldn't believe we were over there dying while they were getting baked in a fire fight.
ОтветитьWas in Basic Training for the Canadian Army around this time, we had soldiers come back and tell us their experiences and I signed my voluntary release the next day, not worth it for a war on the other side of the world, join the Navy folks.
Ответитьabsolute warriors ❤ from ex Royal Scots
ОтветитьThe human body is crazy, how someone can survive 3 inches of axe in the skull but another person can trip over and die
ОтветитьI thought it was Mel Gibson talking in the beginning. Only to see a middle eastern who looks like Mel Gibson. I'm not disappointed.
ОтветитьAfghanistan is a country with no identity. It is splintered into warring factions and it's been that way for centuries. Graveyard of Empires. I watched a documentary where an Afghan was talking about military history in Afghanistan. He spoke of how the English had come, the Russians and most recently the Americans. He said something that really stuck with me. He said, "It's very easy to come into Afghanistan. It's very difficult to leave."
ОтветитьSo frustrating. A war like that, intelligence is king. You HAVE to know who the wolves in sheeps clothing are. Was the kid that attacked the Captain with an axe compelled by threat or was he a recruited and motivated Taliban fighter? Intelligence tells you who to kill, who to let live just long enough to get value from them and the whens and wheres things are going to occur. Easier said than done and infantry soldiers aren't trained in counterinsurgency. Information is King. I also contemplate the damned ROE that are put on coalition forces. Our warfighters should be given more latitude. Waiting for "permission" costs lives. It's war. Collateral damage is absolutely tragic, but it is a reality.
ОтветитьLots of respects
ОтветитьPakistán China Russia perhaps armed taliban
ОтветитьEverything for nothing. Then giving everything away including billions in armor! Typical American idiotic both sides politics! What about the American lives lost, families and marriages broken, children without fathers, tax payers dollars wasted, etc.??? Shameful!
ОтветитьEmbarrassing this from the Canadians killed more of your own than the enemy, the uk are yet to lose a war for hundreds of years 😂, we have world war 1/2 in our back pocket and Europe shows no respect in my view
ОтветитьU went to afghanistan for what. twin towers were brought down by ur own elite and then fooled u into a stupid war while they made money. U and innocent afghans died
ОтветитьThis was my last tour in Afghanistan…
ОтветитьI wouldn't be proud to save Canada as soldier. You don't put stupid bureaucracy over the lives of your people. Collateral damage my foot, your people are dying! The reason why they put so much pressure for Israel to stop defending their country. This soft approach has supported these terrorists to thrive!
ОтветитьG wagons in combat.. hmmm
Ответитьthanks biden, all for not.
ОтветитьI’ll never understand why we send 80 people at 300-400 just because we’re better trained and have better equipment
ОтветитьI lived in Kandahar back when Operation Medusa took place I was just a few miles away from the operation site and heard the weird sounds of gunfire and aircraft, now I live in Toronto more scared than being in a warzone because of poverty and high living cost I don't understand why Canadians were fighting there and losing their lives and wealth
ОтветитьCANADIAN SOLDIER WERE WEARING GREEN CAMO IN THE DESERT AT FIRST ! WHAT A DISGRACE TO THESE SOLDIER WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE AND TO THOSE WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE!
ОтветитьHarjit Sajjan is the biggest liar that served. He took credit for operation he was not responsible for he had to apologize in CANADIAN PARLEMENT. He HAS CREDIBILITY
ОтветитьShameful that harjit sajan is still featured in this. Edit him out, the man has been repeatedly called out for over exaggerating his involvement in this entire operation. Enough so that he stepped down / was removed from his role of minister of national defence in canada. It's a disgrace to every man and woman who wore or is still wearing the uniform.
ОтветитьI think, many American soldiers will tell you that they would much rather have an F16 show up, than they would an A10.
The A10 is an amazing aircraf for the 80s,, but it's pilots have to use bloody binoculars to try to get some situational awareness, of the battlefield.
If an A10 pilot does get the right target in his sights, that big gattleratter of a gun isn't as accurate as many people assume.
God help anyone in the way of an A10 enemy or, friendly because it is a wickedly impressive weapon.
Unfortunately, upgrading an aircraft that was designed in the 70s to fight a war with the Soviets in the 80s with a moden targeting system, doesn't make sense unless, you are a fiend on the ground and happen to see it coming in your direction. 😮
Give me the F16 as a ground support aircraft any day, over the A10.
Lawyers running military ops.
FUBAR!
Its so scary crazy i have heard the american soldiers associate war with movies they have seen so they are admitting to propaganda without them knowingly knowing they are doing it
ОтветитьAs an American who served i can assure anyone who thinks otherwise there are certainly some down right badass Canadians. Tough to watch stuff like this but very proud their stories are being told so many brave men and women diserve to have their stories told.
ОтветитьVietnam should be the prime example of how to never fight a war. The moment I heard them say a board and lawyers had to vote on what should be done, I knew where this was going. Good men/women die because the enemy never fights like that.
ОтветитьAlso 🖕🏻 to Harjit Sanjin he got as close battles as my mother
ОтветитьCaring more about enemy homes than the lives of his own people.
WTF
I had to stop watching because all accounts are showing the enemy as being in the advantage position taking out our troops. How did it come to that. Was it poor planning or poor command.
ОтветитьDoes it mean the liberation forces did not do reconisance work before going in..the loss was to much..
ОтветитьOur Canadian brothers! That’s crazy how that kid took that ax to his head like that. That’s horrible! 🇺🇸🇨🇦
ОтветитьAre you talking about the same Taliban that rule Afghanistan today?
ОтветитьSo why the nato lost
Ответитьand yet the Taliban still won at the end
ОтветитьA country full of liars thieves an cowardly men. It makes my blood boil, you had to have eyes in the back of your head
ОтветитьThose rules of engagement really limited the effectiveness of those men. Sadly it was all for nothing in the end. Sick of politicians throwing young men at their problems.
ОтветитьAll for nothing in the end
ОтветитьI thought NATO was supposed to be a peace keeping force, and not a war force?
Ответитьand all this for nothing
ОтветитьMy dad has told me stories of him and his mates siting around and doing mostly nothing (some tasks but nothing big) and after watching this maybe there’s a reason why he’s told me those stories and not others :/
Ответить“Here i am I’m in star wars” 😂 no you are in Afghanistan. “The graveyard of empires” long live AFGHANISTAN and long live the resistance. 🏳️🇦🇫
ОтветитьD bless all my Canadian men and women we love you dearly...thank so much for your service
