Why don’t you and Jack give Poolbeg parkrun a go in Sean Moore Park? It’s on every Sat at 9.30am. Not only will you get to compare FinishingTimes but you’ll also get an Age Grade %.
ОтветитьBrilliant!
In abscence of a time machine a distance handicap may do the trick?
And to make you feel better - I'm a little younger and a little taller - yet you're still faster!
Very amusing video. I am currently testing a few shoes on a course of 1 hour run. New Balance RC V2, Puma Deviate Nitro Elite, Endorphin Speed, Craft CTM Race Rebel. Basically half up the mountain and back. I see that the time up the mountain is quite consistent in RC elite V2, CTM Rebel, Endorphin Speed.. But the big difference in is on the way back down. The soft midsole of the RCV2 let's me just run down the hills not feeling my knees while in the Endorphin Speed I need to watch my balance more and they are less protective. Surprisingly the CTM race Rebel which is super lightweight is the slowest. 5 minutes slower than the RCV2 in a one hour run is allot. Having harder midsole my brain does not allow me to go full out downhill because the pounding on my body from the harder midsole is high. I still love running in the CTM Rebel but the clock hates them! Puma Deviate Nitro Elite comes just behind the RCV! I expected it to be the BEST but it is not as protective or bouncy as the RC V2 but still very close to it.
ОтветитьGreat video. Well done Jack. I am 6'2" and my cadence is ok (175ish for long runs) so I need to get my stride length up from a pathetic 1.1m to something approaching the Jack 2.0 of 1.6m. Would you consider doing a video on how to increase one's stride length please?
