Around six minute mark narrator says: "If Marco Polo were alive today, who would he be?" Now what a stupid ass question is that? Made me angry and I quit watching. They should better warn if the documentary is made in america or otherwise made for mentally handicapped or illiterate people. I thought history hit is british??

Not a good documentary. They are going around in circles and eventually you don't know what the documentary is all about! so confusing!

I do not think one can simply compare the devastation visited upon Bagdad by the Mongols in 1258 and more recently by the US. And I am not remotely pro-US. What the Americans did in Iraq was deplorable. But did they kill every inhabitant of Bagdad? I believe the Mongols did just that in 1258. Besides, what does the recent history of Iraq have to do with Marco Polo?

This history is told in a very boring way. I could not watch beyond 18.38.

The Chinese professor looked so excited at the prospect of seeing Marco Polo's Will. The disappointment when there was no signature made me feel sad for him. Overall an outstanding presentation. I learned so much from this.

Well, this so called docu fucking sucks. I thought I might learn something new about Marco Polo but instead i'm getting a modern lecture about the middle east.

I love watching documentaries to fall asleep. Unfortunately I can’t read the subtitles lying down sideways or relax while having to read. I was interested in the topic.

This is not what it’s supposed to be! It is not about Marco Polo but a politely statement!

I quite like this. History can be a thread that leads you to the present and influences us even if we don't know. Also like that it's not dubbed! I don't get the other people complaining. Subtitles are better, then you can hear the original language and most dubs are low quality anyway.
