ОтветитьJaysus Lucas! You been practicing or what?
ОтветитьAhhhhhh I’ve got the answers… to all of your questions… if you’ve got the money……
Nice man
Great Demo Lucas and a great version of the Rush song Working Man .
ОтветитьVery thorough and fair review. I have the SE SAS in Iri Blue, over 9lbs, had 6 months to play it. Once had a PRS EG-2 HSH with HFD/Vintage Bass/Fralin single and more conventional pickup switching with 8 tones. Was stolen and I still miss it. I've been waiting for almost 30 years for PRS to come out with a budget HSH that came close. This SE SAS switching is odd. Sure there's some great tones but misses some that I want. I find I'm not in love with this as pretty as it is and I'm looking for an excuse to keep it which is why I'm here watching your great review. I've modded SEs before but I think this will be better resale as stock since it's back ordered still everywhere.
ОтветитьThanks for the video, bud...You Rock! Keep up the classics! they must live On! Thanks again...Your band sounds really good! I have the very same Guitar...
One of my Favorites! Has an All Around useful tone and a lot of Great character!
Great video! I bought one and the back of the bridge is on the guitar. Is the bridge supposed to float?
ОтветитьThis video just sold another SA Special.
ОтветитьWhere did you get the lampshade knobs? What is the item number? Just got a PRS SE swamp ash today also ordered locking tuners
ОтветитьBest Review Ever! ❤
ОтветитьLove your Video! I by today a PRS SE Swamp Ash, color as your. The weight is 3.300 gr. so I have to buy it! 🙂
ОтветитьLoved the Rush cover man! Great review. Also, you had me at diabolical metal.
ОтветитьJust followed, great review. I love that you catch the secret of PRS guitars with the volume knob. My Santana Se seemed too simple until I discovered that trick. Now I absolutely love it. This guitar seems super versatile, I think I like the Paul’s Guitar more but the swamp ash look might win me over for this. Thanks for the review
ОтветитьI want this guitar - or at least a simular - right now! - Love the finish, the HSH, the verstatilities it offers.... Just love it!! 🤘😃
ОтветитьBeautiful guitar sounds! Great playing! Thank you so much for this!!
ОтветитьI dunno about the *best*, but I found it the most interesting that's to be sure. No other PRS had more of its own unique voice to me.
ОтветитьGreat review. I have one in that same color on the way.
ОтветитьAmazing review, probably the best of any guitar i have ever seen. I have several PRS might be getting another. Bravo
ОтветитьGreat demo, normally you get some guy 'widdling' with max gain, you actually explain the controls etc on clean and distorted sounds...well done, one of the best demo's I've seen.....👍👍😱
ОтветитьGreat video on this guitar. Thank you for making it.
ОтветитьThis is one of the best reviews ive seen, great demo and live playing ....awesome Video!!
ОтветитьFor $849 I don't think you could get a better guitar. They actually are real abalone inlay's.
ОтветитьAwesome video thank you
ОтветитьThanks-great review, and I LOVE the rush tunes!!
ОтветитьHow good can SE's get? Then they came out with the SE CE24, and then they released the Sandblasted SE CE24.... we're not worthy!
ОтветитьThis is a gem to play and keep till the frets say peep! 😊
ОтветитьHow many guitar do you have
Ответитьdamn my friend, you can really play!
Ответитьbrilliant review, loved the band clips too
ОтветитьIf some band play Rush all it´s OK after that:)
ОтветитьGreat job on the review dude!! I was wondering did you have a chance to compare this to the SE custom 24-08, I'm really having a dillema, even tough I really dig the maple neck.
ОтветитьSwamp ash is very light. A lot of companies use northern ash and call it swamp ash. Northern ash is very heavy. Baseball bats are made out of northern ash.Shame on these companies for doing this. Quit falling for this people. A swamp ash body from the right part of the tree will weigh about 3 pounds. If a guitar weighs about 8 ,9, or 10 pounds it is almost always northern ash. I have seen them weigh 12 pounds or more.
ОтветитьGreat review. Went to my local store yesterday specifically to look at one of these, and walked out with an NF3. It was a tough decision between this, the NF3 and the McCarty 594- all great guitars. That Legend Super Lead sounds great!
ОтветитьGreat video!! I am going between the Swamp Ash Special and the SE NF3 and this video tipped the scales a little. Love how you took it through the paces and curious which of those two guitars would you pick?
Ответитьlove your vocal❤
ОтветитьThanks for the great overview! This is a nice one . . . I have the Custom 24-08, which I like a lot, and this one has a bit more on offer, def leaning more towards a Stratty thing. Cool.
ОтветитьGreat video Lucas. Very informative and the best one I’ve seen. And great playing too. Band sounds great also.
You have convinced me to pull the trigger on this. A bit of background…….I’ve been for the most part largely a Strat player for many years……super Strats or at least Strats with humbuckers. I’m a bit older than you and a child of the 80’s, so I’m geared more towards that era. During COVID when I was working from home, I had the opportunity to play a SE Tremonti. I could not believe 1) The quality of that guitar for the money, 2) How comfortable I was with a LP style guitar. So I bought one. I’ve been looking at getting another SE and was conflicted on which one. But I think the Swamp Ash is the one.
Thank you! 😊
RUSH!!!!
ОтветитьHey Luke you're a good guitarist thank you for the video keep them coming I enjoy watching your videos
ОтветитьEvery instrument when new presents no issue. I must point out a craftmanship detail I encountered with this instrument when evaluating as I was considering a purchase of one. It has a very well concealed set headstock joint. Although it has an improved dovetail geometry cut to the joint, It doesn't have a continuous single piece beam support running the full length of the guitar neck up to to headstock like the SE set-neck thru-body design does (non-bolt on). What does this mean? Besides having a reduced amount of sustain and resonance, more importantly, as the intrument ages, the set-headstock joint will weaken and yield over time reducing it's capability for PROPER INTONATION, I know this by experience unfortunately, on a similar neck joint I have on an older instrument. This is an absolute deal breaker for true guitar collectors that look at guitars in this price range as an investment that may appreciate over long term. This construction type should only be found on guitars below the $500 range. Opt for a set neck thru-body SE instead, your investment will last longer. It is an unforgiving weakness that will show over time guaranteed once you gain experience with setting up your action properly. I would never buy it. The fact that PRS has gone to such great lengths to hide it by trying to have the luthiers match the wood grain on the seam is concerning frankly. They're trying to pass it off as a 1-piece neck design. Might be PRS makeup, but it's still lipstick on a pig.
Probably 10-year lifespan before you start having intonation problems with fret buzzing close to joint area, meaning you have to back away on tightening truss-rod rendering the action too high over time.
Hello kid, do you have a video on that BluGuitar Amp1 ?
ОтветитьI’d be all over PRS if they would offer guitars with moons again.
ОтветитьWell PRS should thank you I literally just ordered one identical and the SE locking tuners. Band sounds great too brother.
ОтветитьWhat position do you think would be best for Reggae style tunes?
