The Other Main Characters In Gen 4 Pokemon

I play Pokemon Masters EX in 4 years now. Out of all 5 trainers, Cheryl and Marley is in the game since the game launched. It's been 4 years but the other 3 have no signs of appearing lmao.

Why isnt their a multi region pokemon game yet? (Gen 2 and remakes dont count) like start in Kanto (or region of your choice) all thousand something pokemon available between the 2 dif versions, go region to region conquering all the dif elite 4s with the final boss again being the OG Red. Sprawling game, 100 hour campaign. Thatd be so lit.

I remember hating the green lady for being no use in the escort quest, Riley I think gives a Riolu so I liked him, absolutely no clue who the others are, maybe because it’s been so dang long or maybe because they just weren’t memorable at the time.

Highkey having gyms that specialize in stats over types would be much more interesting although the downside would be less gyms overall. Technically 6 vs 8 gyms and maybe the elite 4 could do the types. Idk something like that

I always loved these guys because of the fact that they didn't have the traditional relationship you would usually have with unique NPCs (rivals, gym leaders, evil organization bosses, professors). They're just trainers travelling around Sinnoh like you

I feel like this is an often forgotten aspect of Gen 4. Emerald introduced the idea of optional double battles invoked by purposely entering the sights of two trainers at the same time. D&P exploration partners relieved a lot of grind while letting you experience as much fun double battles as you want before proceeding.

Gen 4 was really fun. Its right after gold for me

I actually didn't like this. I would've rather done the double battles myself and have my Pokémon get more exp. Back when the exp share wasn't automatic on every member of your team, you really needed it.

They were the worst part of the games. They drug everything down and spent so much time talking

One of my favorite parts of platinum and partner battles are some of my favorite battle formats in a pokemon games

And they heal your pokemon after ever battle too 😂

I think gym leaders based on stats or different gimmicks rather than just typed gyms would have been a cool step forward in the pokmeon franchise, but sadly, we never see it

NGL, Riley is the only one of that whole list that I remembered. I know it's been a while since I played Pearl, but still, that seems ridiculous.

i remember when i did my first pokemon game(which was pokemon platinum) when i was doing the riley thing, i discovered how to save the game in the menu😂, i had going thru almost a full walkthrough with just saving in the pokemon trade room in the pokecenter lmao, i was so shocked it was actually that easy to save

No speed trainer was a missed opportunity, speed stat can make battles very interesting

I also love them in the manga, especially Buck and Marley with the two’s connections with the random legendary Pokemon thrown into the region, Heatran and Shayman
