To anyone wondering why Austria was shattered in Jan 1940, it’s because it was finally broken up into provences, and Ostmarkt was the name the Germans gave for the Austrian territory, the light gray regions are I think lands that were decided to be considered the Austrian region

I hadn't realized that the Soviets held on to their zone until as late as 1955. But hey, robbing a region of its manufacturing infrastructure takes time!
