Canon Spongless Refillable Cartridge? How much ink can we add?

I have discovered your kit, and I would like to know if there are versions available for the CL-576 and PG-575 ink cartridges. For the past year, I have been refilling my cartridges by suctioning from the bottom.

When empty my CANON ink cartridge I drill a hole into the TOP then using some BLACK GENERIC REFILL ink I put the bottle needle into the hole and squeeze until the ink is coming out the hole then TAPE over the hole and put the cartridge back in ! I only use GRAYSCALE printing (BLACK) and this process works 4 -5 times until the ink-jets on the bottom clog THEN I go buy another one for $20 :-)

Can we use any generic ink ?

Can i just glue the original cover?

Hi Kevin Everyone that comes onto your site is a potential customer. I myself need convincing this product works. Putting pressure into the tank in my view will push the ink out ? Having no pressure and being zero bar pressure (atmospheric pressure) will in time just leak out. Having a vacuum inside the tank if this is possible of course will cause it to stop working. Lets look at a starter cartridge from canon if you put more ink then the sponge will take it leaks out the head I know I've done this ! so is this just not the same as your spongless modification ? Will you give us the science behind why they don't or do leak ? convince us before we buy your product. this method is stupid. I drill a hole 1/64" and insert the needle. Tape the hole. Done.....who cares if ink gets on the sponge. who cares if something goes wrong. you're already modifying it.....I've never had a problem. As long as the pages print properly. Then who cares! $60 for the printer and $16 for ink that will last me years.........even if it catches fire and it all fails WHO CARES! I throw it all out and buy a new printer........cheap and convenient!

I drilled 2mm holes on top into each color then used vented plugs. I pushed about 350 ml of black through the 245 before it got clogged. I refilled about 200 ml of ink in the original cartridge before clogging. I'm looking for another printer because it got damaged by a powerline spike, it doesn't do anything when I turn it on no motor noise just a power light. I want to try finding one that uses the same cartridge. I printed thousands of pages of heavy card stock for 4 years with it. The HP printer printed about 1/3 of that before it mechanically wore out.

When placing the tip onto the cart in the water there is a small amount of water between the two, and will cause color shifting. Place the syringe over the cart before placing in water each port test would be best

I had a epson ones, trying refill never expected the cartridges, not even new compatible ones, alway hadd to get the originals.

I would rather use the T-8000 glue that usually is used for sealing smartphone back cover.

Hello, I'm not sure if I'll get an answer, but here goes. I have a Canon e4570 with a modified external ink tank, on the side of the machine.
I do about 1200pages in black and my printer head has to be changed. Color head is changed at 1700 pages.
Any reason why? Are the heads meant to be replaced often? Compared to the original once used cartridge, I believe that you could only ger 300pgs.

I did everything in this video and my colors aren't coming out right nor is the black ink showing up on my prints when I do a print head cleaning. It's as if there is no ink in the cartridges at all but they're full!

If you soak the canon cartridge into water, let it dry for 3 hours if you don't want corrosion and break the cartridge because I learned it the hard way

Slow down lady, going fast in taping only makes you redo it. Listen to his instruction and try to understand what he is saying. Same with the gluing. He instructed to make sure you have enough glue on the edges before you put the covers on. And of course she didn't listen closely.
