Risk factors of cochlear implantation
ОтветитьStop music !❤
ОтветитьDoes the bone grow back?
ОтветитьOne thing they missed: they put a 'ground' wire into the head. They just coil the wire and leave an electrode exposed to the head tissue. You are now 'ground'.. Amazing.
ОтветитьYou dont fill the hole back ?
ОтветитьIt basically started in children. Less than 1 year is an ideal age. Few years back they started to operate on adults.
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 NOOB Cochlear
ОтветитьI survived the surgery in 1995 🥶👩🏼✈️⏳
ОтветитьWhenever I see someone with that I always feel so bad for them
ОтветитьI had the surgery in 2001 and I thank God for doing it!
ОтветитьI'm deaf, an I've been told that they (the surgeons) didn't even drilled thru my skull
Ответить👍🥰😍👌👏👏🤲🤲🕋☝️☝️☝️😊
ОтветитьSo I took a music box style to a cymbal style and then developed a tuning fork style hearing device that can be surgically implanted
ОтветитьYou may not believe it but Big Ocean brought me here.
ОтветитьJust lost my hearing in my right ear due to an ear infection and now in the process of getting Cochlear America or Advanced Bionics.
ОтветитьMy girlfriend has it. Many years she refuses to use it. It is not so easy as it sounds. It is pressure i think because of digital signals or something , and she feels tired after using it few hours. She wants to take off and rest without it. Maybe she hear a lot of noise and brain work hard to analyze. Idk, i will ask her. But she said first time she heard sound of sea vawes and bird sounds.
ОтветитьWatching this after my cochlear implant surgery…. Didn’t know that they had to drill my skull😭
ОтветитьI have one question about cochlear implant?
After this plantation, can couple make normal physical relationship?
I mean when we make physical relationship then our body getting heat .
For how many days that external component had to wear
ОтветитьIs this applicable for 2yrs old child?
Ответитьvery interesting, I have seen these before but never knew how they were installed. maybe one day, it'll get small enough to run off the energy of the body, and replace the ear drum components.
ОтветитьWow! First year audiology student, so excited to work with those who have a cochlear implant! :)
ОтветитьYesterday I was diagnosed with a damaged nerve in my ear will have to get an MRI plus doctor stated I may need an hearing aid. Or will this work better thank an hearing aid?
ОтветитьA couple questions if anyone can answer them please. How do they reseal the round window since the cochlear is supposed to be a fluid filled sealed organ. Secondly how do the electrodes stimulate the hair cells since they are intended to be stimulated by movement of fluid.
ОтветитьAre they going to shave my head for this? What are the side effects that will happen after this is implemented?
ОтветитьMy whole life I didn’t know it came off lol I thought the circular part was implanted into their skull and permanent
ОтветитьHonestly this is super cool.
ОтветитьITS CRAZY HOW SPEECH IS MADE BY THE VIBRATION OF LIPS AND MOUTH . THE WORDS ARE INVENTED BY MOUTH AND LIP SOUNDS CONNECTED TO BRAIN THAT BEING SAID ALL WE GET ON EAR DRUM OR COCHLEAR DEVICE IS JUAT MOVEMENT AND REALLY WHAT SAVES THE SOUNDS IS THE CORELATION OF LIP AND MOUTH CONNECTION TO BRAIN NOT REALLY WHAT YOU HEAR .‼️ THATS WHY IF COHLEAR IMPLANTED REALLY PRACTICE THEIR SPEECH CAN BE JUST AS NORMAL
ОтветитьPov: you slept first in the sleepover
Ответитьi cant hear the caption
Ответитьi wish they will comewith hearing transplant one day like actualy body to body transplant
ОтветитьCan a person still go swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving ?
ОтветитьLISMIAITI🦻🏻🦻🏻😱🙏🏻
ОтветитьWhat happen to natural hearing after cochlear implant surgery?
ОтветитьThis looks scary 🥹🥹
ОтветитьI got cochlear Implant’s It magnet
ОтветитьAnd the Worst Soundtrack Choice award goes to....
ОтветитьSusan Barton uses cochlear implant in her curriculum. My 15-year-old asked what it was. Thanks for a quick video to help me explain it to him.
ОтветитьYou must do a mastoidectomy, to access the round window?
ОтветитьBut.. I'm 11 past me grow me now.. 14 a25s battery broke.. No sound :(
Ответитьthis is kinda creepy....
ОтветитьScary shit and even worse... that cochlear Implant is hideous, damn ugly. Poor people believe that they are amazing but they are not. It has lots of side effects plus not working well. A friend of mine has it.. and regrets it big time. She wanted to remove the whole of things from her head... except a device piece left on her skull can not be removed. Think again before you get surgery!
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьIt looks complicated
ОтветитьMy son has the cochlear implant in Toronto, Canada, in about 1983. It’s more than 38 years, but the implant suddenly burst out this year! Isn’t it supposed to last life-long? The doctor gave him antibiotics to stop the pain and pus. Now he has to wait for an operation, but don’t know how much it will cost in New York, USA. Right now I am just so worried about his health plus the (maybe enormous) sum for operation. Can anyone advise what to do? Thanks in advance for any guidance.
ОтветитьShock problem..
