I will be researching MSDL further. Do you have any concern or thoughts on externally vs. internally managed BDC's? The prevailing opinion seems to be it is best to stick with internally managed BDC's.

Do they issue a k 1 form?

MSDL has a short (five quarters) dividend history with payments being either $0.50/ or $0.10/share. With interest rates expected to decline, it would seem more like wishful thinking to assume $0.50/share/quarter in the future. Am I missing something?
