I built a base powered by the fertilizers, back in the before time... :)
ОтветитьHey francis i want you to try manor lords and break the game 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWatch where you are dumping your precious isoresin.
ОтветитьHow is pemmican considered good food?! It’s simple survival food with bad taste.
ОтветитьScoutmaster Kevin! 😂 Are you going to have a dupe called Wade Wilson next?
ОтветитьI still don't understand why the devs don't like nosh beans, they only exsist at this point to be naturally planted and even then they are a waste of 2 tiles when you have every other plant in existence beating them out...
Ответитьruns a pipe to syntesizer from spom while whole base is running on oxylite ... why
ОтветитьSay Francis:
Have you thought about draining the heat out of the rocket silos the same way you'd drain the heat out of magma: through a heat spike made of a highly-thermally-conductive material like Tungsten or Diamond, which could then be used to power steam turbines to move the heat into the electrical distribution system?
Methinks that way, there wouldn't be as much of a need to use the kinds of super-high-temperature-resistant materials that wouldn't melt, even when, say, submerged in lava. Moreover, it would perhaps ensure that the insulative tiles would get cooled down before they would otherwise inevitably melt into lava.
Hi Francis. When the rocket is ready to go to the Temporal Tear, I suggest a way to end the game to load up every dupe into it (they fit into one or two sight seeing modules), load the pilot and off they go. The colony ends the moment the pilot boards the rocket but oddly the achievement is obtained.
Sadly, only the biobots are left behind until they run out of power...
I challenge you Francis to make a single dupe and fully automated base - Max difficulty, All DLC, Completed research tree before hiring any more dupes for all achievements (binge eater required I guess for carnivore). You can choose the map and tally volumes on materials at 1000 cycles in Tonnes for setting a High Score other people can try to beat.
Cheers! :)
Should make a fully automated fully functional petroleum boiler out of the exhaust from the rockets that would be cool.
Ответитьlet's hope bro doesn't turn evil
ОтветитьBridges actually teleport 2 places assuming the liquid is flowing. Just check the input port and you will see it always says empty, while the output port always says full. So you can use half the ceramic you are currently using. (FYI this behavior is also why you see start stop behavior in flow of pipe connections that are overfilled and have multiple bridges).
ОтветитьI’ve seen a flooding indicator on the Sonium Synthesizer when I had it in a melting cold biome.
ОтветитьSadly the only thing the Somnium Synthesizer enables while under water is an annoying notifcation
ОтветитьIt's a shame you can't run your rockets on liquid methane! That's what the cool kids do these days in real life, and it would fit with the theme of your playthrough.
Ответитьhe didnt say 'i hope you enjoyed and good luck' at the end. my day is ruined and my dissapointment immersurable.
ОтветитьYeah. I remember having a power brick running on fertilizer.
ОтветитьI thought the frost burgers were the ONI version of cholesterol. There is an athletics penalty so I was just assuming there atmo suits be fitting kinda tight after they eat.
ОтветитьYou did use fertilizers at least once, it was when you were messing with mutated plants, and realized you could run a colony on a tiny ranch worth of plants.
ОтветитьI haven't bothered making fries, it just seems like too much effort for not enough gain, the omelette pancakes are easy, and have the same +8 morale as BBQ.
I haven't built a rocket silo, ever. It's totally not needed in the Spaced Out dlc, as you can just turn a co2 rocket into a research data lab.
In the power generators room, if the steam turbine doesn't have 100% uptime you get your accumulation of steam?
ОтветитьWhy not run some steam turbines with the heat from rocket launches? Basically free energy!
ОтветитьAny reason to keep all these floxes? It feels like a lot of lost labor :)
ОтветитьI had a thought: maybe it would be cool if objects with space exposure gradually had heat added to them at day and removed at night, to simulate sunlight and black body radiation
ОтветитьDon't forget to mop up the mercury next to your silo - it keeps touching the superheated bunker tiles and is spreading that heat into the resources you're getting.
Also, instead of having the two rocket output lines merge, you can probably give them separate dropoffs to make unloading a bit faster, they seem to be getting blocked at the merge.
Oh no, where are we gonna get polluted water? Ignores the massive mixed liquid tank, ignores gargantuan amounts of polluted ice
ОтветитьWait until Klei releases the Vegetarian achievement... Now nosh beans suck and are required!
ОтветитьIt's funny you should rant about nosh beans. I'm doing my first spicy tofu playthrough, just because, and it's crazy. It's not the nosh beans or the pincha pepperplants that are the headache. It's the fact that you also have to ranch pips and dreckos to make it all work.
As I switch away from hatches I actually have to do more ranching to make the dirt and phosphorite needed, and that's in addition to the new farms and the extra cook to run the microbe musher. The labor requirements go up dramatically.
For a 100% sustainable colony it would have been far easier to go with a regolith melter to feed the hatches.
nice
ОтветитьYou could make extra ceramic by cooking up some clay at about 930°C.
Those rocket exhausts might do the trick ;)
day 4, ask you to play mindustry
ОтветитьCholesterol not Included!
ОтветитьFertilizer is worth using, it saves an enormous amount of the normal plant resource cost per unit of food across all food types.
ОтветитьYou could use the "overflow" of polutet water from the power brik byobserv the pressur via atmo sensor to produce the Fertilizer
Thank for the episode <3
Glad someone else is calling out how useless nosh beans are. I made a Reddit post a couple years back about how unviable they are compared to other options and are pretty much beaten in every metric
ОтветитьI had a few fertilizer powered bases in the super early game. It was a good way to make more power than you could ever use back then
ОтветитьFrancis you should tell 'does anyone actually read the names' that yes some one does, it's me, lol.
ОтветитьThere is gas tanks overheating!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьFrancis, you need to dig out the entire map so you don't have your building inspiration limited by ... stuff.
Ответитьpemmican never goes off at room temp/atmo. easily the best added food since you can just chuck it in an unpowered fridge and stockpile forever
ОтветитьNo my last playthrough I made a Thermium heatsink below 7/8 rockets to melt sand into glass. It worked. It wasn't quick but it worked.
ОтветитьDon't take me back to the fertilizer synth meta days. We only got 2 cool steam vents, that was it. Back when the roof was Neutronium.
ОтветитьPlease fix that white noise when you speak its been there for months now
