I subscribed to the channel a few weeks ago because I’ve gotten more into making my own food and less into takeout. Your videos are easy to follow and this pantry list is what I’ve been searching for every since to make preparations easier. I love your channel and I absolutely love when you call Claire to taste test the food😂 …she loves food and it’s a blast to get her feedback on the dishes. Thank you!!
Ответитьmore green onion, more delicious....... 😋😅🤣
ОтветитьCan you give a ratio/recipe for the gochugaru flakes/soy sauce mix for your gochujang replacement? I would like to try it, as all the gochujang pastes I see have ingredients that I don't like, such as corn syrup, etc. Thanks.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThat was very informative and offered excellent advice.
ОтветитьJust subscribed, thank you for the useful tips
ОтветитьYou forgot to buy sesame seeds !!!
ОтветитьI took photos! We have a Korean market right around the corner where I buy Mageolli rice wine😛(thank you RiRang). They also have a kitchen and they have Bibimbap, and they fry the egg how you want. Aloha and Mahalo (love and gratitude) from Maui!
ОтветитьI am From Germany and bought Gochujang, and it changed my way to Cook, it's so Great for nearly all Dishes. Love it. Thx for ur Videos
ОтветитьNo way! I’ve been to this supermarket before!
Ответить😊👏🙏 thanks
ОтветитьI am Muslim 😢 i need alternative for the alcoholic source
ОтветитьGREAT LIST! Really does cover the basics!!! Sempio 701 disappeared from the shelves for MONTHS in our city here in the US. 501, too - the 501 started showing up a few weeks ago, and we were okay with that... but my Bae spent too long in South Korea, so when 701 reappeared last week we were all happy. Apparently so was the entire Korean community because the Korean stores all limited sales to 2 bottles per person LOL. For stock - Dashida beef is WAY easier to find than the jarred chicken (we also love the Mushroom, you can add it to anything - including all non-Asian dishes for a wonderful taste). My Bae's family in South Korea insist that cooking syrup is a "must" - but to be honest, we just use Kecap Manis ("Sweet Soy Sauce") when the recipe calls for the syrup and soy sauce and it's actually BETTER (the family now use it when making Bulgogi & Galbi LOL). Great list, really awesome!
ОтветитьThank you for the video. I hope I'm able to get those ingredients in our Asian Supermarkets in Germany.
ОтветитьThis video just popped up in my feed. Awww, baby Aaron and baby Claire, be still my heart.🧡💛
Ответитьwow thank you so helpful
ОтветитьThank you! I’m so happy I finally was able to get screen shots of all the ingredients I need. Let’s DO this thing! Korean Time!!!💃
ОтветитьGood video, thanks Aaron. Do you know how quickly the alcohol in Mirin cooks off? No worries serving it to anyone. Chicken stock? Make your own from left-overs. Question: Korean green onions. Are those the same as Japanese Leeks or a different vegetable? Thx again.
ОтветитьI love mirin. But like I said no spicy plus no fish in my house.
ОтветитьNo spicy stuff in my house can’t tolerate it
ОтветитьDid you have to pay to use a shopping cart??? Think I would bring my own bag first
ОтветитьA note about some products for vegans -
Doenjang (bean paste):
-The larger, brown, rectangle plastic container is pure bean paste (vegan).
-The smaller, square, clear plastic container that is seasoned uses anchovy (and mushroom) as the seasoning. So if you are vegan, you'll want to avoid the seasoned paste because of the anchovy.
A good replacement for the fish sauce:
-Golden Mountain brand vegan fish sauce. (Best option)
-Seasoned soy sauce.
-Maggi seasoning.
Oyster Sauce:
-SO many brands. Just look for the label that says "Vegan" or ask the staff. They are very knowledgeable and they can walk you right to the vegan oyster sauces. Sometimes it might just say, 'Stir Fry Sauce"
This is an awesome episode. Love the show and obviously the cooking with all the comedic flavoring. 🤙🏻
Have a question regarding all that packaging in the supermarket. What is recycling like in Korea? Packaging is bad in the west as well (US & Europe) however I do see a shift starting to happen. Think I was just shocked to see vegetables wrapped in plastic that did not need to be 😂🤷🏻♂️
Hey guys, I'm Australian and we have probably 70% of those products, there is a couple more I want, great video 👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘Cheers from Melbourne Australia
ОтветитьMake a list for me 😅
ОтветитьReally interesting and helpful,thank you.
ОтветитьCan we get a Korean grocery store in Puerto Rico? Pretty please?
ОтветитьI recognize that chilipaste in the thumbnail. Just got it and it is sweet, but so good. Um I made a dip for my fries... so not really Korean. But very good.
Problem where I live is there's 3 tiny stores and they sell from many Asian countries and also Middle Eastern. And I barely know what to look for. No one had Oyster Sauce, only fish sauce from a brand called Oyster, isn't that kind of fishy?
I need more videos like this, explaining what things are. Will have this in mind next time I go hunting.
Thank you for this video. I am going to the Korean market here in Michigan soon and this will help me to identify what I am looking for. I am dying to try your spicy garlic noodles. I love garlic and 15 cloves is no problem. Unfortunately I will be the only one in my family eating it. My Mom can't eat it because of dietary restrictions (no fermented, aged, or pickled foods). But I am sure she will have a bite.😁
ОтветитьHey i have a question about the gochugaru. Can it be replaced with regular red chili powder? Thanks.
ОтветитьThere are no packages that big with garlic in Sweden! And certainly not already peeled ones.
ОтветитьI finally understand so many things, thank you very much for the explanations of each ingredient!
Ответитьin mainland China the green onion shown in the video, we got a funnier name for it. big onion for direct English translation.
ОтветитьI can't help thinking about motor oil when that sesame oil can comes up...
ОтветитьUnfortunately I have a bad reaction to fish sauce and I can't have it. I'm not sure what in the fish sauce I react to. Could you recommend a substitution, please?
ОтветитьI was need that.
ОтветитьJust saw this video and wanted to make a shopping list and was curious about the SK Won to Euro; the spice was 10800 and into todays Euro is 8.05, was not kidding when he said expensive
ОтветитьThank you so much 🌿
Big fan of Korean food love Korean food.
Lots of love from New Zealand 🥰😘✨🌿
Thank you for this list ☺️ I love your channel 💕
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьUnless you just glug it in, boiling temperature will probably burn off your cooking wine. Or so Professor Google says....
ОтветитьMy Korean friend from Voicely sent me a package with these ingredients. I especially like the Kochudian pepper paste :3
ОтветитьI started integrated gochujjang in my every day foods too lol. So much so i've had to purchase several large packs lol
ОтветитьAnyoooo! Can you please recreate the shin ramyun soup base??? I want to make it at home in batches, instead of using store bought stuff. :)
Greetings from Bangalore!
Just subbed.
Jesus bless you both! Stay safe. 🙏🏻💜😇
I had some Gochugaru flakes in my cupboard and used some of them and then sealed them up... I went back to use them and they had gone bad with mold on them, I had to through them away. How do I keep them fresh to use again as I don't make regular meals with the flakes?
ОтветитьCan you get Gochujjang that's gluten free?
ОтветитьAaron: "I feel bad for anyone who is trying to play a drinking game, like everytime I say 'green onion', they'd take a shot... because I'm not going to say it anymore."
Considering just in this video he said it 5 times, I think I'd already be on my way to being drunk if we're doing shots. 🤣
Does anyone have a website they buy these products from? I do not have any asian store near me so I cannot buy most of these ingredients on the list other than basics like garlic
Ответить
