Superb win! I was a 17 year old Villa fanatic and saw that 2-0
home win v Sunderland, crowd 57,000,..about 12,000 were visiting
Mackems hoping to oust you from 3rd spot.
Brilliant fans,...not a peep out of them...red and white everywhere.

Maybe the game should have been ticket only to keep
the crowds segregated if Norwich fans were stood on
three sides of the ground?
Fenced off zones had not yet been widely deployed in
those far off days tbh.
Scary scenes, did you wear your Canaries scarf David?

as a Norwich fan these players are still talked about and I remember these games and when players got on with playing no play acting no over celebrating .Very simple and good times

Not enough black players on the field.
Therefore racist.

Remember it as a 14 year old ,just before the long hot summer of 75.

74/75 was the period I started going to Carrow Road. Great times.

I am a Portsmouth supporter and was there that day. I believe Norwich have been promoted three times at Portsmouth, this game, 1-0 Simeon Jackson and one other occasion. Anyone remember when?

I was coming up to my 5th birthday and it was a couple of years before getting my first season ticket with Mum and Dad, but I still recall every name. This is the first time I have ever seen this game and it has put a proper smile on my face. Thank you for posting.😁
