How beautiful: she gave it back to him, and he sings her version of it with her, obviously giving his blessing for that version. A beautiful circle. Both are moving, and I don't normally like other versions of songs. But the original sung by Bart will always be my favorite, what helped transform me when I needed it the most.

This was the most beautiful song I ever heard in my life and I still believe in God this day and for the rest of my life ❤

I am almost certain that if this song was given to anyone else but Amy Grant to sing, it probably wouldn’t be a MercyMe song! God works through people in the most Amazing ways. Amy Grant was an example of this and through God, she knew it was for Bart, it was his moment, not hers. She also showed she is a true selfless Christian! She gave up the #1 Top of the Chart and arguably the most popular and most played Christian song to who it was meant for! God bless you Amy, and God bless all of you. Found it strange that Bart's brother wasn't brought up in the movie until I realized the family drama caused by the movie but apparently the movie ended up being 100% factual and Stephen just didn't remember the events of the film occuring.

You can tell from how young & happy Bart is to be on stage with Amy Grant, that this is the 1st or one of the 1st times he was able to sing it with Amy. It is her rendition, probably because his rendition was under his own band's contract but not released yet?? Something like that. Thanks for getting this snippit on film.

When I heard this song in Cris Duran's voice here in Brazil I had such a deep connection that I cried every time I heard it. Today in 2022 I watched the movie and got to know the history of music and the connection I had with this song made perfect sense. Just like the composer of this song I also had a father who was a monster, and he also died of cancer and also regretted it before he died. Glory to God for the life of this blessed brother who let his soul scream in this song. I love you in Christ and thank you for this gift.

This movie had me balling my eyes out by the time it got to this scene. I love the song long before the movie was released. Maybe because I'm such a broken person on the inside, that's the reason why get so emotional when I watch this scene or maybe I am starting to realize that I might burst into flames if I would walk into a church...

I grew up listening to Amy Grant and it was so joyous to see her in the movie I can only Imagine. How she so humbly listened to the Holy Spirit right there in front of so many of her fans to do what was right and ultimately led to Mercy Me's success and the sharing of this powerful testimony through an awesome song. Love it!!❤
