Ahh yes, I love companion planting! I’ve been companion planting for years and it works great! I purchased a book called Carrots Love Tomatoes, I highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting!
ОтветитьI used nasturtiums last year with my tomato plants, it worked well except that they really stole a LOT of nutrients from the tomato plants. For that reason be watchful for that and stay on top of it. Also, how do you recommend to rid the aphids once they appear on the nasturtiums? My nasturtiums were covered and I just pulled them out and threw them in the yard waste bin. The nasturtiums did naturally appear this year because they reseeded themselves, which was a nice surprise. :-) I love your videos, thank you for making them.
ОтветитьWhere is your parents' nursery? I'd like to plan a trip to eastern Oregon. I'm in the Willamette Valley. Name of the nursery?

ОтветитьSo I can plant a tomato plant and a marigold plant in a 5 gallon bucket and not worry too much about these insects? Or I should probably do both marigold and basil in the same container with my tomatoes. This is promising! :)
Ответитьcan bush beans & chives grow together?
ОтветитьWhat if I want to keep nasturshums, I heard you. An put them in salads because they are edible, and so pretty, but I did not know about the acids, and you are so right, they eat up the nasturshums. Any ideas. Or other host plants for aphids?
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьConcerning aphids, take a couple of tomato leaves, crush them and put them into a gallon container. Fill with water, let set for 24 hrs, then strain out the leaves and pour into a spray bottle.
You now have a solution that will kill aphids shortly after you spray your tomato plants.
Be SURE to spray UNDER the leaves as well because that's where they like to hide.
I use this EVERY TIME I see aphids because it WORKS wonders. 😯
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝
