Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Review - The Marvel Game Nobody Remembers

This game is clearly the worst of the trilogy. Not enough effort from anyone into making it

2 was fun, but a downgrade. 1 had more costumes, comic book missions, and a unique story

Honestly I wish this game had the same quality as 1. Really made me mad that there was so much potential but it ended up terrible.

So they put the first two alliance games on the PlayStation and Xbox but put the third one on the switch just so people buy the switch

In addition to your comments on the smaller roster, I want to add that the roster in the sequel was far weaker than the first game. They had some cool additions, sure, but we lost Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Dr. Doom (which makes sense canonically, but he was playable in the first game which made no sense canonically), Silver Surfer, Nick Fury, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Cyclops. And what did we get in exchange? Songbird? Penance? I’m sorry, but I’m not excited to play those characters. They butchered the roster a bit too hard for my liking

yea the fold literally murder the momentum of the game. I actually wanted to finish the fight, and I also wish there was in depth ending consequences like 1.

I fucking hate thor's voice in this game. I know this game came out very early in marvel's fame but the first game guy looked like what thor would sound like and did a great job at it. The fusions don't fix shit. Yes I do love how playstation users finally get to play hulk, venom, and magneto but with the limited amount of characters at least add people who are well known enough. Also the villain choice in this game is shit. I looked up every enemy in ultimate alliance 1 because of how they were presented and it made them cool. Also I love how vibrant the locations and their colors are so different so you can tell which level is which. Also 1 had obscure locations like murder world. 2's levels aren't interesting

Playing this game on the psp is so different, Penance is so strong on the PSP, as just all his abilities work together so perfectly

I never played 2 or 3 but after growing up on 1 how do you top that!? My love for gaming on my Xbox360 came from UA1. I could never bring myself to play the sequels.

I’d pay $70 for this game with the dlc but it’s been unpublished for years

I played the hell out of 2 but didn’t have internet as a kid so never had the dlc characters

Interesting factoid about MUA1 originally launched with the Punisher but it was patched out on release day because THQ owned the rights so you can’t find evidence of it anywhere unless you were like me and didn’t have internet so your console never got the update

I logged so many hours on this game it's ridiculous. One of the best super hero games you'll ever play. I probably beat this game and UA1 with over 10 different friends on co-OP. There's so many different ways to play the game.

I remember loving this game to death. Probably my most played game of all time back then. I loved the first one and recently was pretty disappointed by the third. I thought this one was the best of the three; it was probably because of being able to play characters like Green Goblin and Carnage, but I loved it. Still a top ten in my heart lmao, great video tho!!

Ultimate Aliance 2 is awesome. Was playing it an hour ago, actually. In my opinion, the only downside of it compared to the first game is the playable hero roster, which is lacking in comparison. Keep the new addition of characters, for sure, but don't exclude characters like Moon Knight and others who were playable in the original.

I feel like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 should have told its own story like Galactus being the final boss of this game which the first game set up. Also if Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance game would it be memorable ?

Nothing can and nothing will compare to X-MEN LEGENDS 1 and 2
they will never make them great as them ever again sadly and i hope a miracle will prove me wrong eventually if a miracle bring X-LEGENDS 3
now MUA1 was a good game too but it all ended right after

I think the fusion powers in two are super underated I just used The Thing and Juggernaut together and it was one of never saw before .

My only gripe with the game is not being able to play as Spider Woman, She Hulk and Black Widow

I didn't finish Ultimate Alliance 2 because I had a PS2, and this game was running at what felt like 15 to 20 fps

I had both Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 on Xbox360. They were the best. I found the 1st one at the store and the 2nd at the garage sale. But the 2nd one is scratched and now that there hard to find, I will never be able to play it again.

I remember my ps3 glitched in a few games like UA 2 and GTA 5 on some missions to the point where i could never complete them so on UA 2 it glitched on the first iron man mission so i swapped sides and it got glitched in the wakanda base. On GTA it legit glitched on the mission where lamar got kidnapped legit couldnt shoot my gun or it just wouldn’t load.

man, i love this game so much, because u get to play as venom and green goblin. I like the storyline the way it was and the civil war part was also interesting.

i definitely cant get behind saying the other civil wars are better. Comic is anti-climactic, movie is fine, but the game definitely doesnt forget the war, the conflict is still there, just pushed back

I loved this game. I loved the way you could develop the skills. And the different characters actually played differently. Then the animations and ways they moved around was cool .. like Spider-Man webbing around with the double jump.. and the combat was fairly deep and balanced.. good enough for it all to matter how you played your characters..! I loved it! So much diversity!

I give this a 5 out of 10..if i had the dlc i would probably play it one or 2 more times
